I lived in the residence halls
* There's a fridge on the first floor but its public (for everyone) and you have to tag your items, its just way safer and more convenient to bring your own fridge.
* You need a keycard to get into the rooms, everyone is given a keycard with their own code. (Your code and your roommates' code isn't the same, unless they know your code they can't use your card).
* There's a laundry room on the first floor.

This video is so helpful I wasn't sure what it looked like. I was mostly worried about the restrooms and kitchen.
Amazing how things can change in a decade. I attended CSUDH from 2008-2010 and graduated in 2010...horrible, horrible experience 😅. I'm happy for you knowing everything about that school has improved as least as far as the way the campus and dorms look cause you would've hated attending that school 13-15 yrs ago when I did 😂.
I feel the same way a complete waste of 4 years of my life... Graduated in 2012. I would NOT recommend studying Graphic Design!!!
@@walkingcityadventures I'm sorry if your degree didn't get you the opportunities you wanted 😢. I hated my experience at the school due to the ridiculous racial tension between the Black students and the Mexican students, and most people on campus in the dorms regardless of race being unfriendly, rude, and/or inconsiderate of others. Happy New Year btw.

This video was very informing for someone going there next year, what are the main differences between like the different housing areas. Like do the freshman have to live in a certain one?
Hi, no there’s one residence hall for everyone and apartments on a different side of the school if u want to live in the apartments. At least that’s how it was when I was there

Hi, you’re very welcome. And yes, freshmen and sophomores live at the dorms. And I think also some juniors and seniors.
I’m moving this august into the resident hall I have a quadruple room I was wondering if I’m allowed to bring a mini fridge ?
Hi, yes you are, but I would say talk to your roommates first cause I think you're only allowed one fridge per room. So you can decide if you want to be the one to bring the mini-fridge.
@@telemaerekosima okay thanks for letting me know, I wasn’t to sure about that because they said they would email who my roommate was and everything mid august but idk if that gives me time because I haven’t met them at all so I’m not sure
Oh, well if you still haven't met them yet to discuss that I would say get to school first and if none of them brought a fridge you could just go somewhere and get one that same day.

How are we able to communicate with our roommates before we move in?
You can message them on the housing portal and ask for their instagram or number then it’s easier to communicate

Depends on how big but yes it will the room are big. It’ll probably fit under your bed
are there bike racks outside ?
I don't think so, I never saw any. But again it is a really small school, you don't need bikes to get around the walking distance isn't much at all.

How many people do you share a bathroom with?
Hi, we share the bathroom with everyone on our side of the floor. There's an east wing and a west wing, I was on the west so basically, everyone on my side shared the same bathroom, guys used the mens, girls used the womens, and then the general one. And there weren't really too many people in the bathrooms at once (maybe 5 at most) so it wasn't too bad.
