Sadia, one suggestion I may make when cutting sushi rolls next time, lightly put some sesame oil on the knife on both sides. That way the rice doesnât stick to the blade as you cut also the slicing becomes so much smoother. My mother taught me that and now my wife does the same.

Iâm so glad I found you. I love your style. Iâm a recent vegan for health reasons. I had angioplasty with 4 stents places. My doctor asked me to watch âWhat the Healthâ and I was convinced that I needed to adopt a plant based diet. I did well for 2 months but then fell off the wagon because I must cook for my carnivore husband and I began to taste what I was cooking. I found it difficult to to create appetizing vegan foods with every day pantry items. But I must say that You motivated me to continue. I like your recipes. Your voice soothes me. Gimbab (what you call it sushi) is one of the most common and popular foods here in South Korea. It could help make it a lot easier and zest to put some salt and sesame oil into cooked rice in advance before spreading it on law seaweed. It definitely makes it different in good way.

I really appreciate Sadia as a dietician understanding/promoting store-bought alternatives to making your own meals at home is okay once in a while. Obviously making everything at home is better/healthier but it's not always possible. And for me while I try to live a healthy lifestyle, I will pretty much eat anything as long as its vegan :)

Same here, but I keep trying!! This week, I meal prepped chia seed pudding for breakfast, and a Mexican inspired beans and quinoa for lunch. I'm not looking to go fully vegan, but making the effort to reduce my consumption of animal products makes me happy. Good luck with your journey!! đ

I love Chickpea Curry. It is so delicious and I have made so many versions of it that it never gets old. I am also a huge fan of Vegan Sushi Rolls, just have a problem being too impatient and plating it, I usually end up eating the entire roll without even cutting it like a submarine sandwich lol.

I thought it was Gimbap, too until Sadia mentioned it was sushi roll. The inside items resemble more of Gimbap than sushi rolls.
The vegetables in a Gimbap are usually pickled

Could you do a week or 3 days full of recipes where you reuse the left over from the day bevor? ( for example on day 1 you only use half a avocado so on day 2 there is a recipe with the other half) so that nothing is getting wasted ?
