    Once I asked my teacher if there's a rule, because English seems a little bit tricky 😅,his answer was" Stress".
    I think the More familiar we are with a language,the more we understand its specificities .

    In other languages, shifting word stress does not affect the pronunciation of vowels, so it would be possible to say /fæˈmaɪn/, while in English it would only be /ˈfæmɪn/ or /fəˈmaɪn/, am I right?

      Yes! That's right. That's because English is a stress timed language.
