This is interesting. When I was growing up, the word 'diphthong' was pronounced as you do (dip-thong) but recently I've head 'diff-thing' a lot more. Has there been a shift?

This is very interesting to watch. I am a native English speaker trying to learn two other languages that have unvoiced, unaspirated consonants: Thai and Russian. I am finding it very hard to both unvoice AND un-aspirate!
