Haven't watched any Vol games so far. Congrats guys. You have a QB who actually made me cheer for Florida as instant karma after the initial first down. From a uga fan, this is truly a first. Without an O line to protect him, that may be a train wreck in the making.

It's good to see that the dumpster fire is alive and burning well up in Knoxvile in 2018. They may fire the head coach and hire someone even more dimwitted every couple years, but the team proudly keeps stinking as it always has.
It was good to finally have the Gators keep it together through both halves.
2016 Gators should have walked all over UT but completely fell apart in the second half.
The Vols have to get rid of that Butch Jones residue.

It's a rebuild, they've had good teams with Jones had it not been for injuries and poor coaching. I think Pruitt will get them back to a winning culture but it's going to take some time.
Yeah, if not for injuries, TN would have probably won 6 or 7 games last year, and Jones would still be there.

Tennessee fan here. Congratulations to y'all. You certainly are a much better team than us. Your season still has potential. Ours is a wash. I hate to say it but I think Tennessee football is just dead and can't be revived. We've been trying since mid 2000's just to, at the very least, be in the talks for sec east title. Hell it's been two decades and despite a few sporatic decent years, we have just gotten worse. Still a vol fan for life but I won't be expecting Tennessee to beat an sec opponent for at least another fucking decade. The programs reputation is to far screwed to be salvaged anytime soon. So don't get your hopes up fellow Tennessee fans. There is no light at the end or the tunnel for the foreseeable future, as of now.
It was only two seasons ago that TN won 9 games. They'll be back after Pruitt has a couple of decent recruiting years. I don't think TN will get back to the 9-10 win level until Saban retires, at the earliest.
@@randyjordan5521 most of those wins against tough opponents were by last minute luck and overtime battles. Tell me the last time we actually steamrolled Florida the way that they steam rolled us last night? Tell me when we've steamrolled any decent sec school like that without struggling to win, in the last few years? That was a sporadic good season made on unbelievable luck. It wasn't maintained after that. You don't see auburn or bama come off winning seasons with good conference success and then just lose every conference game a few years later. Those teams have talent and depth. We just don't right now and haven't had it in awhile.

And it definitely doesn't help when so called fans give up on the program that went 0-8 in conference play and has an entirely new staff and bunch of players that weren't recruited by them.
Have you not noticed that if Pruitt had the teams Jones' started with he'd be like Mullen at Florida rn because that offenses suited his scheme. Our offense and defense rn suits a Chip Kelly west coast style offense. Which hasn't worked in the SEC hence the 4-8 season last year.

We're down right now, very down, but it's solely because this team lacks the talent it needs to compete in the SEC week to week. When Pruitt can get some kids in there that he recruits and has a vision for I think we'll be back to being competitive.

Let’s get one thing straight, Florida didn’t beat UT, it was UT offense that beat UT. It’s time for Pruitt to let all the Freshmans play because they can’t play any worst than they’re playing already.
Butch Jones called his first year at TN "Year zero," because he had to rebuild the program after Derek Dooley let it go to pot. Pruitt is having to do the same this year. He needs to treat this season as a time of teaching fundamentals, and get some better players in next year.
