13:03 this part really made me cry. It's like a person reaching out to you and finally holding you in thier arms, never letting you go ever again. Ravel will always be my favorite composer.
Yes, the Mother Goose Suit is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. If you can, check out the orchestral version by The Montreal Orchestra conducted by Charles Dutoit, the first time I listened to it I cried as well, the only other time in my life where I cried listening to music was Karen Carpenter, but that's a different story 😊.Ravel is my favorite too.
In my opinion, the fifth movement is one of the most beautiful pieces every composed for piano. Simplicity is everything
I 0:06 Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant
II 1:42 Petite poucet
III 4:40 Imperatrice des Pagodes or Laideronnette
IV 8:03 La Belle et la Bète
V 11:47 Le jardin féèrique

3:57 I like so much this part. It's so warm and kind
i also love the warmth of the semitones combined with fifths. there is a similar semitone + fifth harmony at the end of the 4th movement. there are many more throughout the piece.
Me toooo! ❤
4:47. My favorite part of the piece. The most beautiful part in my opinion.
C'est incroyable beau... Merci.

cool
This score is for piano duet, not 2 pianos.
Thanks, you are right!
I LOVED this piece. I played it with my first piano teacher ten years ago. It is SOOOO beautiful!
Autiste zgaig tu crois c pour clarinette et contrebasse?
Pues no, existen partituras originales tanto para piano individual, como puano a 4 manos, para 2 pianos, o incluso para orquesta....

1:02 the secondo part has a wrong note on the final eighth note! Should be B4, not Middle C
Good catch! Also, at 13:13 in the Primo part, 2nd note of triplet should be F# not D#. :)
6:50 in primo part, D# or A# ?
@@nicolasaubert4248 Wow this edition is full of errors lol, that's definitely a D# i'm hearing in the recording
Thanks for sharing, this is so beautiful. Ravel is not an impressionist composer though…
Well he sure gives the impression of Beauty and the Beast in Mvt IV!
V: lento e grave, non andante.
