In simple words, UX designers are daydreamers dreaming about what should be done and UI designers are Performers who are performing in real life.
Ui design
Hi, can I hire you for some UX design work! This video was so amazing! Thank you
Hands down the best intro videos on UX and UI.
Agree
Absolutely. She gave a brief rundown of what it entails and in simple terms .
Ikrrrr
Bro, is your chanel the official Amrit Rao channel ?
â@@vizodamasths no no! I guess This is his parody account..
I've looked at so many articles and googled this for so many times but was still confused. Thank you for making this 10 mins super clear and worthwhile đ
That's fantastic to hear! Thanks so much for the feedback, that's what we're here for!
I have more experience in visual design than in research and breaking down problems. Because of this, I feel more drawn towards UI, but I feel like I would still do great as a UX designer once I'm able to learn the ropes and gain more skills in it. Thank you for this video!
igfv
Exactly my thoughts đ„°
Howâs it going?
Same with because I come from a graphic design background, but what I concluded is that they both solve problems, UX designer solves the strategy problems, and UI designer solves visual problems.
Hey! It's been 2 years. Any updates?
1:10 - 1:33 Dee turns on the lights and explains very clearly a difference that basically no one cares to give a short explanation for! Thank you so much Dee
You're welcome! Glad you found this explanation useful!
honestly the best soft tutorial ive ever seen. short and straight to the point ! i love it
This is so eye-opening and informative! As a finance person I often represent local business team when making a presentation in budget review meetings with global management requesting more investment in UX/UI, but I never knew exactly what I was talking about. Now I can be more confident in doing so. Thank you!đ
This was very helpful to me, thank you so much for taking your time to make this video! I am a graphic design student and I finished taking my second UX class in June. I really enjoyed taking them! I love the whole process of creating concepts and working with others! UI Design sounds really fun to work with because I love to see visual content and how the interaction works.
Where have you been all my life? I am an incredibly visual person and love thinking about how to improve flow/process/organization, I had no idea this could be a JOB.......I'm in my 30s, I'm wondering how I can go about making a career shift, really grateful for these resources and I'll keep watching and investigating your resources. Thank you!
Awesome explanation of these career paths! Now I fully understand that I have qualifications to do the work of both UX and UI, but Iâm definitely more of a UI person. Thank you for helping to make this so much clearer to me!
Thank you so much! This gave me a more clarity! awesome examples!
This video was extremely helpful in my decision on what route I should take. Being a more visual creative, I have been a Senior Graphic Artist and Illustrator for many years, the UI side of the house is more alluring. Your presentation really helped in defining the difference in the roles and expectations of the UX and UI designer. I have also been an Art Director, so the research and big picture mentality is a big part of my work ethic. Client interaction is also a favorite aspect to my field of work, so the overlap of UX/UI appeals to me as well. Again, thank you for the clarification and keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for this! I am looking into changing careers and really needed to understand the difference, as a very creative and visual person I feel that I would be better suited for UI design and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos about both to help with my decision. You are an amazing teacher!
You teach with so much clarity . Thank you for giving me a different CZcams user experience .
Amazing explanation! I finally understood the difference between a UX and UI designer and what are the specific tasks they are responsible for. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a clear way! đ
Wow couldn't be more clear explaining to separate those two!!Thank you so much, now I have a clear vision what is going on behind each oneđ
Thank you for this!
I've been struggling for the past few years trying to find what I wanna do next with my life now that I've finished high school.
Nothing seemed to be something I liked and wanted to dedicate my time to, but then a couple of days ago my co worker recommended UI Design and that was something I've never heard of. I wanted to know more and decided to look it up.
I've always been a visual person. I like looking at satisfying things and I like making cool and satisfying things. Now listening to your explenation, UI is something I wanna try.
Before watching this video, I was in confusion about where should I move,
It made everything clear. And now I am able to see a path, where I must go.
Thank You so much.
That's great to hear Rey! Thanks for the feedback. Which path will you choose now?
Mainly I will choose UI, But I am in initial stage, So First I will learn UX Because Without understanding the UX I wouldn't move towards UI.
Great video explaining the differences in these two career paths. I'm a business analyst in a company with no UX or UI Designer, so I'm called on to do a little of both in my work. I enjoy the UI side of it more, but as an analyst, it is really important for me to understand the big picture including the user needs. I'd love to see another video that also splits out a BA role separately from these two as I'm working to get my company to see the need for these two concentrations.
hey dear, can i ask which company r u working for?
Wow! you really simplified this to my understanding! Thanks a lot.
Thank you for this! I am definitely leaning more towards UI for sure, although I am open to learning both! They are both useful skills to have.
Thank you so much for this video! What a great explanation that was easy to understand. After watching this, I actually had the realization that more often than not, Iâm paying attention to the UI of a lot of things as I use them. So it got me excited to think that I could actually be part of that process! Thank you! Also, bloopers at the end of any video are amazing, lol.
Super informative!
I now understand clearly what both concepts are all about.
Thanks for sharing :)
Just liked the video and subscribed to the channel.
Thank you, kindly for this video and have a Happy New Year. đđŸ
Thank you this is a pretty simple detailed description⊠Iâm actually interested in both but maybe I would want to try it hands on to see.
Very clearly explained. Love it. Thank you.

Great video!! I have had the opportunity to be a part of UX when collaborating with the creation of an app. I must say, no matter how hard you dream up a user experience, the UI is where my heart wanted to dabble the most! Thank you for this informative video.
Excellent breakdown - this was SO helpful!
Thanks for this super succinct and helpful video! I'm actually a media production undergrad exploring the intersections in our fields.

Glad it was helpful - best of luck on your journey!
I'm for sure interested in the UI side. Thanks for breaking down the descriptions đđ I'm the kind of person who is obsessed with formatting and details, so this really helped me understand. Thanks again
I enjoy both UX and UI, and I really enjoy watching Dee's energy on video. She makes me want to watch more of her.
Perfect environment, presentation and in-depth discussion, such a well put video.

Am looking into more of UI cause I like fixing in tiny details that would end up making simple things look more than it is.

Loved the video! Thank you.
thanks so much! you are an amazing explainer too, thank you for the video!
Excellent video. Clearly explained all the basics to get started on soft soft. Thanks
thank u i was stuck about both terns!
THANK YOU!!!! you actually guide your viewers through soft, unlike so videos that rush the whole tNice tutorialng or talk too fast.
Thank you so much for defining the difference between UX & UI.
OMG thank you so much for this intro it really helped me a lot before watching the video l knew nothing at all about the UX designer and the UI designer but now l understand very well and l can say it has absoutely helped me in my choice which is go for the both UX and UI because l find them both interesting and kind of depending on each other.
Thanks, glad it was useful and helped you make an informed decision! There are definitely quite a few things that overlap from both fields, that's why it's common for companies to look for someone who can do both UX and UI design. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks Dee - that was so beautifully explained!!!
You're welcome, glad it was useful!
recently joined as a UI designer thankyou for simplifying it for me
Thanks for the great video! Your captivating!
Clear-cut example you've given. Definitely worth to watch and to like, comment and subscribe !
Awesome, thank you! Glad you liked it Vishnu!
Oh my, I am so grateful for this video. I've been studying UX Design but even though I'm loving it, I was thinking that something was missing, that I liked what I was studying but it was not 100% what I wanted. Now I'm 100% sure I should move to UI Design, it's much more in tune with how my mind works. Thank you!
Brilliant! Thank you!
Thanks for this presentation. Excellent Tnk U!
Thank you for the video! The compare and contract really helped me narrow down to which one I think is better fit for me. I'm leaning more into the UX Design because I think of myself as more of a big picture thinker and I think overseeing the entire experience of users/customers will be rewarding. I've used various apps and have had good and bad experiences that I think I can leverage when designing!
Did you get a job
Godlike Tutorial THANK YOU
What a great video, helps A LOT in the beginning.
Thanks so much. Im just starting out, trying to fill a UI/UX role at my company and this was a great way to understand the difference, and I think I kind of understand. The part that trips me up is Im having trouble seeing where the UX ends and UI begins, given that there is some overlap. I understand that both are needed and achieve different things though. The UX role when working wiht wireframes and prototypes seems less tangle as to "This is where your part ends, hand off to the UI designer now." I'll get it eventually :D
Really helpful video! Thank you!
Dee, you made this explanation so easy, Hands down, you nailed it. Well done
It's so lovely to listen and to watch you explaining both UX/UI in details. You did it beautifully. Thank You đđđđđđđđđđđđđ
So much good information here, but this video bizarrely omits that UX and UI designers are VERY often ONE combined role, especially at product companies like Spotify. It's not just that some roles have overlap - Product Designers are generally responsible for both UX and UI, including prototyping wireframes and mockups (and sometimes even some front end development and/or user research). As someone who has spent my career as a Product Designer, I can promise this is kind of essential information to provide.
Interesting and good to know - I would want to do both.
Thank you! I am looking into changing careers and UI is more of what Iâm drawn to. However, in looking for open jobs just to see what the market looks like in my area, I find that most positions are titled ux/ui . Iâve yet to see just UI designer listed by itself in job listings. This is very important information to know for those who want to get into this field so they can know what they need to learn.
I didn't knew I needed this soothing and encouraging career advice! thank you.
Thank you so Much!!!!
Finally i understand the difference between UX and UI
đđđ
Amazing video đ explanation is on point and very very clear.. thank you for this videođ
Thank you so much! !!
Thanks for your information
I enjoyed every bit of this video. It gave me a clearer insight into what UI/UX designs really mean and the differences between them. I am just getting started in UI/UX designer and videos like this inspired me
