Great job. Question the bracket for the steering column. Were did you get that. I need one for my build

@@SIMPLE.C10 thanks
Have you set the Hood on it yet? How does it set with the fasteners on the fenders? does the hood hide the wheel tub lip that sits on the fender? any pics with hood on?
Lots of pictures on my instagram Simple.C10. At a low angle you can see a little of the cream. Next time I’ll probably paint the part that bolts to the truck the same color as the truck.
Did you just use self tappers on the "inside" of the inners to fasten them to the firewall or did you put Rivnuts there too?
I just used self tappers there because I didn’t want to take the fender back off and scratch it. Wasn’t exactly sure where to put the rivnuts there until I got the steering shaft installed. Self tappers are working good though.
Question, if you want to change the motor do you have to remove the inner fender wells
No you don’t. That was because I was bagged.
Awesome job. I bought a set of inner fenders similar to the GMSS ones but from a different company. I was wondering What is your opinion of welding them to the outer fender and then using the rivnuts to attach them to the radiator core support and firewall?
I like the option of being able to remove them completely if needed without removing the fender.
Could have used spray paint inside the cab to mark the holes you wanted to drill instead of using a marker and a drill.
Good suggestion. Lots of ways to do it.
Did I just realize that the blue truck in the beginning ended up being yellow with a scoop on the hood? Or is that a different truck?
That’s a different truck.
Do you have to cut the fire wall to get the fire wall panels to lay flat?
I didn’t cut the firewall. The panel has raised up areas to conform to the shape of the factory wall.
Cool, thank you for replying so fast ... also did you use any panel bond or anything to adhear them besides your hardware and poppy's? Or anything to stop moisture from getting between? .
Are these from LMC or somewhere else
Gmss. The link is in the description.
what do you use for the hood
New hinge video just dropped explaining!
@@SIMPLE.C10 yes just watched it thanks bro
@@Tony-eg7jl thanks!
It'd have been cooler if the firewall was actually addressed instead of just covered, cuz it looked like you just bolted some fancy shit on instead of actually doing something. Inner fenders look good though.
Thanks for your feedback. I sanded everything down, welded up the holes and bolted on a firewall panel. The all bolt on setup was created to allow even amateurs like myself the look of a shaved engine bay. Very happy with how it turned out. The blackout rust preventative under the firewall panels worked perfect with my setup.
Thanks for watching!
