. Love your reactions.... 😉Lol...He’s playing the lead guitar through his mouth (via feedback) to get that sound. The original effect was created by Peter Frampton, and this guitarist is using it. You’re hearing his guitar, but his mouth shape is altering the guitars sound to mimic a “voice” sound. BTW, that Mick Mars on guitar doing that....
I was about your age when this music came out. It kicked ass then, and still kicks ass today IMO... I’m always happy when I see younger people experiencing today, the great music we had back in those days.

PS... I saw them in concert, 1987 or 88. They would have the drummer in a cage, lifted up over the audience, and the cage would start spinning upside down rotating around and around while Tommy Lee (the drummer) in that cage was playing... It was wild.... Peace.

I went to the Dr. Feelgood concert.. that was the name of the album and the tour.. the energy was palpable.. It was insane... good memories.. years ago..but I will never forget it.. the whole album was insane and the concert was the most crazy you could imagine

Hey. Mötley Crüe..My favorite band. Glad that you checked them out. They have a lot of amazing songs, like the one you just listened too.
Mötley Crüe started out in 1981. Was one of the first bands in Heavy Metal glamrock music. Still going strong today, just had 40th Anniversary. Songs to react to: Live Wire, Looks that kill, Shout at the Devil, Home Sweet Home, Smoking in the boys room, Wild Side, Girls Girls Girls, Dr Feelgood, Same ol Situation, Primal Scream, Anarchy, Affraid. More recent songs : If I die tomorrow, Saints of Los Angeles, The Dirt with Mgk. Check out their biopic on Netflix called "The Dirt " about the band. It's awesome. They lived out the sex drugs and rock'n roll lifestyle in the 80,s.
You might also try some Great White. The song Rock Me got alot of airplay. Deep Purple did a good fast boogie number called Lazy. Give it a listen.

Joe Walsh used a talk box on Rocky Mountain Way, Peter Frampton used a Talk box on Do You feel like We Do. There're alot more musicians who've used one as well. You really ought to listen to it on speakers...crank it up to 11 and break the knob off. Then you you can feel it. The changes in rythm, the bass comig in. It'll have you up and dancing like an Indian doing a rain dance with his feet on fire.

That sound you were talking about was before computer effects were really a thing. If you look close you will see a clear plastic tube beside his mic. I’m not sure how it works but the first place I saw it was Peter frampton. Do you feel, good shots of it in that video. It somehow reacts to the shape of your mouth as you are talking into it and it somehow produces that awesome sound change. I’m sure others will know far more about it than me.
That's strange voice effect is called a talkbox
Mick Mars is the guitar player for Motley Crue. He would play his guitar through the talkbox which would also have a microphone plugged into it so when he would sing backup vocals it would sound like his guitar is singing or talking.

it's a strange thing that sends guitar signal in a tube which goes to microphone then the sound of the guitar sounds in your mouth and you can modulate it with vocal cavity
the tube is thin, it's plastic i think. you put it near your mouth then that cave sound goes back to microphone like you're "singing"

Here ya go dude... two minor things = first you have to learn guitar and then using these are a bit tricky and takes a few minutes to get the hang of it (exaggeration). Of course you can probably just get a digital sim plug-in that does it with no guitar, no talent, no practice but not quite the same as when music has physicality to it... Which is why 60's/70's/80's and some 90's stuff is SO SO SO SO SO much better than all the crap promoted today (not that there are no great musicians but you will not hear that "vibe" in popular music today = all so so compromised and so artificial with zero humanity)
IF YOU DIDNT MAKE MISTAKES...you'd be the only one on the planet that doesnt.....and prolly insanely rich too.
