- My name is Tammy. I struggle with too many mental issues, lol, but don't we all? On this channel I film most of my struggles, I'm not that open in real life though. Brand new here but wow. I’ve been feeling so alone and troubled by the issues discussed in your vlog. I’m so sorry for what you are going through. I have been at my lowest in awhile mood wise and thinking I could not make it.
Thank you for making this video and posting it. I did CZcams several yrs back but stopped due to serious physical heart issues and seizures etc. i quit eventually cuz I just didn’t have the strength. So I know the effort when we don’t feel good it takes to film, talk, edit and publish videos.
On the health/WL front, I’ve been in a 👩🏻🦼 now steady for almost 4 yrs, and also after my cardiac arrest &stroke in 2016, for 24 months until I was in a severe winter car accident. So I’m feeling super frustrated as with all the pictures of my other health issues I can no longer go to the gym for 3 hours 4/5 days a week and power walk on the treadmill and the elliptical and the weight machines. So my weight is semi stable but I and still in a big struggle as I cannot lose much with no cardio. I have celiac and have been unable to process dairy since birth, so my food choices are very few as I also have very sensitivities to even veggies and some fruits. I’ve gone off caffeine and chocolate long ago and am doing well just adding the tiniest bit of sugar(if I’ve run out of stevia and can’t get to the store)in my herbal tea.
But anyhow I’ve gone on long enough. You seem like a really nice and good person and now I’m going to subscribe if I haven’t already and follow up on some back vlogs and get to know you a bit from those. I hope only for success in happiness and peace for you and anyone else here💜🫶🏼🔆

@@aya123444 I've found one of the most important things is to stop comparing yourself to other people and find support with those who have the same struggles as you. Once you stop comparing and start setting attainable goals for yourself- your self-worth starts to grow back. Just my thoughts anyway.

Your life is your life. It is all you have, so embrace it. You are good enough as is, whether you change weight or not. While reaching your goals in a safe fashion would likely make you feel better physically and mentally, you are a success and deserve joy whether you reach goals or not.

Great advice BUT tammy has 350lbs to lose before thinking about keeping it off. She is very stuck in her ways and her food choices are just ridiculous at times . At her size the weight should be visibly falling off with the slightest caloric deficit. Although I never weighed 450 lbs i did weigh 306 lbs and in the beginning it was effortless. 2600 calories per day and weight loss was 4 to 6 lbs weekly. No exercise as im disabeled. She overthinks everything. She only needs to reduce calories and get help for her addiction.

she has an eating disorder. move along with your faux "addiction". Which isn't a thing. an eating disorder is in the DSM, "food addiction" is not.

Please my lovely, don’t try to fix anything until you have a hold on your depression; speaking from experience no matter how hard we work with our ED’s / BED’s, unless we’ve settled our MH to a degree where we aren’t battling it every day / week / month, our efforts towards our ED’s almost fall by the wayside. I know you often mention your ED specialist, but have you got a therapist separate from them to help with your MH?
Don’t worry about your future or end goal. Take each day as it comes, & always remember that tomorrow is a new day. No journey is ever smooth, especially one taken with regards to an ED.

I started intermittent fasting, the only thing that helped with my food addiction. I’ve lost 50 lbs so far this year and feel emotionally and physically healthy for the first time many years. 🙏🏽❤️ prayers your way
Agreed. Me too. I'm in charge now and I don't feel deprived at all. Also, why is her nutritionist recommending bread?! I find that baffling. Bread is the devil if you're trying to lose weight, it bloats, perpetuates candida and so begins the cycle of that brewery of a gut craving more.

One thing that I've learned (and still have trouble accepting) is that recovery isn't a linear process. The downs are as much a part of it as are the ups. What matters is to keep holding on, to keep fighting and to always be kind to yourself ♡

My highest weight was close to 200KG (yeah, kg), and one of my best things to do, which I hope might help anyone who reads this, is get a tea towel, and get it wet, stick it in the freezer, and pull it out when you get back inside from doing something like groceries, and it will bring your core temp down really fast.
I set up ice water in the fridge for when I go out too.

Losing weight is almost never a straight path. I lost 24 kilos on Keto, then gained back 10 kilos during quarantine and now I am trying to lose weight again. It is hard to start over but we can do this! :) Best of luck to you!
Keto does work but when you reintroduce carbs even in a low carb diet the weight comes back unfortunately. What works longterm is caloric deficit. Its so easy and doesn't seem like it will work but omitting food groups unless you plan on doing it lifelong won't work. Moderate exercise 3x a week 20 min preferably cardio and lowering calories is a healthy lifestyle that has made my 130 lb weightloss permenant 18 yrs now.

Omg! I checked your channel earlier today wondering whether you had posted and I missed it! I hope this helps. I was in a similar headspace to yours, and what got me out was therapy. I know they say to work on both your nutrition and mental health, but in my case I needed to realize something in order to change, and once that happened, change came naturally. I wish you the best and I hope you can conquer your ED. 💕
You're not alone Tammy! I lost 30kg and was feeling amazing. Then got a kidney infection and fell back into my comfort eating. Now back at my starting weight. The important thing is to keep going anyway!
The reason why you fell back had nothing to do with the infection and everything to do with the way you lost your weight to start with. Find out what your caloric deficit is and stay on track. Divide the number by 5 and have 3 meals and 2 snacks daily . Dont restrict foods you love instead find a way to have the meal but lower calorie. Learn how to read labels so you make the best choice . Only eat a serving of a food . You want pasta ? Eat a serving of it not a plate . When I was at my calories allowed in the beginning and still hungry I would eat bone broth or fruit or veggies which helped without adding too many added calories. I kept a food journal to better understand myself. Don't worry it gets easier only 1 week to adjust from the reduced calories
@@raquellambropoulos279 errr, that's what I did do. It was a very slow process. The kidney infection just knocked me off my exercise routine for a long time and I fell out of the habits that I spent ages developing.

Im pleased you are back, I really missed your videos. I have just been reffered to a psychologist to receive help for my binge eating disorder/food addiction which I've struggled with for 20 years. I can really relate to your situation and I'm sending you lots of love. xXx

That's the point !! It's not about loosing weight it's about fix the eating disorder. You have to stop all type of restrictions and your body will found the balance, trust in you girl, you can do it💘

@@Sofia-bd8gp restricting is never going to make her stop having an ED, so what she needs is to understand that food isn't the enemy but that relationship with food where she restricts and then binge. That is much worse than always eating what is needed to regulate her own hunger.
I’m in eating disorder recovery for binge eating disorder and my therapist teaches that no food is good or bad, and not to restrict what you eat but just how much. I find that when I can have the things I want whenever I want them, I often don’t crave the junk. And if I do, a bit satisfies the craving rather than putting it off and then binging
I gained weight initially but now it’s starting to go down... and I eat what I want when I want it. Im learning balance and I agree with the above, this is a great way to overcome binging
Ps the other thing she’s teaching me is to have routinely breakfast lunch dinner and 2 snacks a day
Eat and enjoy food - don’t eat “diet food”
Be satisfied with the meals and eat enough to not be hungry. Hunger leads to binging.
I’m now on phase 2 which is where I’ve gotten into the routine of the meals and now I’m starting to tweak the content to make it healthier - I try to add some fruit or veg as often as possible for example
Abs drinking heaps of water helps
I hope the advice I’ve been given and share will help someone else as much as it’s helped me x
She is 450 lbs . Her life is in danger . She absolutely does not have the time to address the ADDICTION AND MENTAL ILLNESS. She needs to be in a caloric deficit and at the very least lose 200 lbs and she still would be obese . She is 30yrs old and in danger of cardiac arrest and diabetes if not already diabetic her consumption of FAT tells me her bad cholesterol is at a dangerous level. With addiction its all or nothing. You don't allow a drug addict a bit of heroin. Tammys behavior is even more deadly because food is readily available to her and her subscribers enable her and $$$ from CZcams pay for the self destructive behavior its ridiculous. Only Tammy can find recovery. But just observing her she is in denial and far off unfortunately.

I am so glad to see you back. I too regained 80 pounds causing a problem with my back. I am now having to use a walker to get around my home, I cannot work at all. My doctor says weight loss is the best thing I can to do help my back. I really do understand how you are feeling. You inspire me to do better. Please continue posting.

I like what you said about not losing weight but fixing the relationship with food. If I make a healthy change in how I eat then the weight falls off on its own.

The fresh orange juice could be frozen in ice cube trays then add to smoothies and recipes ...that way you won't have so much sugar in one hit .

I was just wondering when we’d get to see you again! I’m so sorry you’ve had a rough time, but I’m so glad you’ve got a superb support system! The toughest part about an ED, is coming to the realization that it doesn’t define or control you unless you let it.
It took me 40 years to grasp that I define me… nothing else… not my appearance or size, my issues (anxiety, BED, depression), nothing else defines me. I choose to behave exactly how I define myself. The key, is to determine what one finds acceptable, and what one doesn’t.
Regardless of anything, you’re going to get through this, because you’re so much more than a “label.” You can do this, young lady! We’re all rooting for you, and are on your journey with you. You’ve totally got this, just hang tough.
