😢Good day! I'm just asking. Are there Swahili words whose first letters are pronounced even though the first letter of it is a consonant and it's followed by another consonant? Ex. Mzuri. I've heard it in a song. The M is pronounced without a vowel. Are there many words like that in Swahili?
Swahili don't have silent letters. We pronounce every letter
Thank you for the reply. I don't mean silent letters
What I mean is that there is a word Mzuri in Swahili. The first letter is pronounced even though it has no vowel next to it. You will hear the M before pronouncing the entire word. So I'm asking you if there are many words in Swahili that begins with consonant that are pronounced even though it has no vowel next to it.
Yes sir. That's why l said we pronounce every letter. So in this case of consonant m we have word like mzuri(good) mkulima(farmer) mtu(person) mt(tree) mlevi(drunker) etc. I don't want to explain much on someone's channel. I do have a channel by the na engswa languages (mwalimu levi) for more queries.
There was no need for music in this
Ndiyo, muziki ni wa kuudhi tu.
(Yes, the music is only annoying.) 🤔
Nice sir
