Another tip. In New Zealand maritime snow we get snow sticking to the skins - major bummer. I keep a small liquid ski wax container in the pack (it fits between the ski crampons nicely in their bag BTW) and rub some on the skins - problem solved.

Lots of bad advice here: starting with "There's no such thing as a bad skin track." Actually the skin track is very important and is considered an art form by those who know.
