Bradford Cox of Deerhunter Rates Movies, Edward Scissorhands, and Humphrey Bogart | Over/Under - Hudba
I like how he never actually says the thing is overrated or underrated
he didn't understand how the interview works
The interview works by introducing subjects for him to say interesting things about, and he fucking nailed it
Nice smith westerns avatar pic
Because those adjectives are almost completely useless
Man, smith westerns sucked
"and they circumcised me anyway... what damage could i do to myself that wasn't already done by them?"
David MacDonald Best.
someone help me find the rest of my pp
The output of Deerhunter/Atlas Sound has been some of the best music of the last 20 years. Long live Bradford Cox.
You know this is not the Pitchfork of 2009 when they feel the need to add "of Deerhunter".
Omg so true
bring down conde nast
Yeah God forbid this video catches the eye of people who listen to Deerhunter but don't know Bradford by name.
Hahaha yes
you're looking way too deep into it. its an algorithm thing, the more related keywords you're using the more the video is pushed to the audience that has a history of interacting with a given keyword, in this case deerhunter listeners.
Bradford must be protected at all costs
National treasure.
THIS
Based God thanks Bradford.
Long Live Bradford
It's almost like they didn't even ask him about anything and just let him come out here and say whatever the hell he wants lol.
I just wanted to thank them Deerhunter boys for making so many amazing records. Including the latest one.
Bradford Cox’s photo was used in my Human Physiology textbook alongside a Marfan syndrome blurb. It was a funny surprise.
RIP Josh Fauver one of the most underrated bassists of all time.
What a charming lad
I would die for this man
How cute
Emily Saunders me too holy shit I love him so much
I fucking love this man. Met him 11 years ago and we vibed over dank underground Atlanta nightclubs. He signed my copy of Cryptograms with “CRYPTIC LOVE VIBES, SEE YOU AT THE DRUNKEN UNICORN” lol
incredible artist. love this guy and his band(s).
I wanna see the full unedited interview!
Nicoyutub same :(
One of my favorite minds/musicians of this time. Thanks Bradford
We discussed all things Deerhunter in a recent episode of INDIECAST czcams.com/video/FoJD2PvzcTA/video.html
the single most rock and roll person to exist ever, i love him with all my heart
I like how for the past 2 Over/Unders we learn whether the artist is circumcised or not without ANY prompting lol
Never fix your teeth Brad, you’re perfect mi amor
was waiting for this one for so long
Time to watch movies by all those dudes he mentioned.
It's gonna be one hell of a ride, especially Kenneth Anger and Stan Brakhage
Stan Brakhage has a unique take on cinema is he is alive? Anyway check Bill Viola also his 70s stuff is better than anything around today.
Start with Brakhage’s “Water Baby Window Moving”. Thank me later
Kenneth Anger will fuck you up.
@@mynameismark25 Dead, sadly...
nihilistic bastard i love him
yo you're the dude i follow on twitter
he's christian
Dandickus Walton doesn’t mean he can’t be a nihilist
Dandickus Walton I’m not sure what he believes, but whatever he’s talking about on Quick Canal... I believe that.
@@SchmavidSchmobb Best comment, I agree David.
Very fitting way to end. Thanks Bradford
He is so styled even without his guitar. And so good in 'Dallas Buyers Club', by Jean -Marc Vallee
This man is such a genius
we demand the unedited version (please & thanks)
Oh man this is a strong contender for the best yet
i want to sit in a room with bradford and hear him talk ad infinitum
would kiss/10
Really tho why didn't they ask him more questions?
Maybe he went on tangents. But i agree with you. They should have asked more and varied questions.
If you didn´t notice the part on film directors was cut into pieces. Maybe he went for a couple of minutes on that and so he went over the minutes they needed
Ecléctico Iconoclasta yeah, I would imagine that this 3 minute video was a 2 hour monologue 😂
Forreal I could listen to him talk all day
This..... is a great man.
Friend: So how's your life going?
Me: 2:45-3:07
He seems like a wes anderson character
Best one ever.
Epic!!! Best one in a long time
Love ya Bradford!
Damn someone I know about on this thing

Awesome Brad, I am amazed.
I love Bradford so much
This video got me both into arthouse cinema and deerhunter
Thoroughly enjoyed. love Bradford.
I love him ughh
He's hilarious :D
thank u daddy cox
Haha, I loved this, almost as much as I loved the Chef Goldblum one.. Bradford has always been such a strange, fascinating artist to me, definitely one of my top 3 favs of the past dozen years. I first heard Deerhunter circa late 2007, or early 2008, sometime between the release of Crytograms and Microcastle/Weird Era, and I would say they’re absolutely one of the most consistently great bands of my lifetime, with only one release that I’d say was “just good”, as opposed to fucking fantastic. I really can’t think of many bands over the last decade or so that I can say the same for..
Honestly, I used to think this Bradford was going to die pretty young, as awful as that might sound, so I’m pleasantly surprised he’s still here, still making great music, and being his eccentric self. I really hope Deerhunter makes it to Pittsburgh for their support tour on this album, it’s been about ten years since I caught them live, which I highly recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to see them! 🤞🏼❤️♾
Nikola Demitri love this. I always have the desire to gush like this on certain videos so I’m glad someone else is in the same boat. Also, in addition to Deerhunter’s catalog, Logos may be one of my favorite records of all time.
i feel like he could be a character from Trailer Park Boys
Loved Agoraphobia
a true genius of our time
Well, I had to rewatch this so I could write down all the names he mentioned. Some homework to be done there.
Deerhunter is an underrated band.
bradford for prez
I love this hipsters godfather
Who's Weird Era is Contd now? I'm here for Brad by the way.
same
FINALLY!!!
BASED BRADFORD
WE WANT THE FULL UNEDITED INTERVIEEWWWWWWW
AND BLACKPILLED
This really should have been longer, why dip out
his singing voice sounds so different
David Bowie of our times or wait he is even better 😎
i don’t know who he is but i like his sense of humor
Check out the band Deerhunter right this instant!
B P thanks! i will
I suggest looking into his solo work as Atlas Sound. Bradford only released three full lengths, but has an enormous catalogue of music (e.g. EPs, covers, singles, etc.) overall.
Lotus Plaza is also a member of Deerhunter with solid solo material as well.
Ian Turnbow bless you
This man is a God
this man is it

bogart, fassbinder, altman, anger, and brakhage -- film school 101 in under 5 minutes
One of the best songwriters of today.
Stan Brakhage is/was actually a really cool filmmaker.
you had me at cryptograms.
He's smart, obviously.
OperationPhantom he’s a genius and that’s why he’s so fucking weird
@@Sentraman4 I LOVE Deerhunter BTW and obviously Bradford Cox.
Why he look like Ray Sipe from twitter now?
The best
He’s got a little bit of a Johnny Marr look now...
I fucking love Deerhunter.
I thought he was an older brunette version of king krule
We've got about 10 minutes left of Universe.. I know
Get me Brakhage
Give me Brakhage
looking like phil
I really love him. why he looks like he's wearing a wig?
He is, he likes being a bit of a character.
Wigs were once fashionable. Let's bring them back
HE LOOKS LIKE MY DAD
Does the interviewee mention topics AND THEN they will be asked to rate them?
NICHOLAS ROEG!!!!
Last year I opened a new youtube video thinking that it was Deerhunter and when it sounded awful to my ears I noticed it was really a new Deafheaven song
Ecléctico Iconoclasta Lmaooo
