External Factors :
1) New competitor in the market - unlikely as the competitor will not launch suddenly across india
2) Bad PR
3) Pricing/ Coupons by Competitors Launched
4) Uber Drivers on strike
5) Incentive Dropped for Uber Drivers - Leading to Supply crunch - Hence rides not getting picked
I would have clarified in the begining that whether the drop is due to less no. of people initiating bookings/not finding cabs or some issue from driver side - like not accepting booking/cancellations.
Interviewer will most likely ask you to find that out with some metrics, he will not directly tell you.
@technomanagers How would you assume that this drop is from user side only, it maybe from driver side, we can also check the driver's booking journey
If you have noticed, this is Uber Journey, these holistic metrics cover issues from the Driver side as well [Health of the platform]. For example, if *Average Matching Time* is high that means there is more demand than Supply. It may happen that demand remains the same and supply reduces. Then we can go on thinking about Daily Active Riders or some issue on the Rider Side. Another case that might happen is that *Ride Cancellation* is high, we can double down on the Factors or journey from there, related to the Ride Acceptance process or Fare-related issues etc.
