  • Removing Snow Berms with my new 50” rear mounted PTO driven snow blower. This snowblower attaches to the 3 point hitch on the rear of my Kubota B2650 with supercab. This 50 inch snow blower is model BE-SBS50G. Manufactured by Agri-Easi, it is also the exact same mode northern tools sells NorTrac 3-Pt. Snow Blower - 50-54in.W Intake, Fits Tractors from 16 HP to 30 HP, Model# BE-SBS5054G Item# 188910.
    I will be remove the snow berms at top of my road, where it meets the state highway. The snow berms are stacked too high and Obstruct our view of traffic as we try to pull onto the highway. Several feet of snow piled up after a December snow storm in Fairbanks, Alaska.
    While blowing snow the pin fell out on the 3 point hitch. Due to the cheap clips the unit comes with.
    Filmed on a GoPro max and GoPro 9. The GoPro max takes 360 video, getting the great shots of the blower. The window is open because I am holding the GoPro max out of the window.

    I find that using the bucket to break up those tall piles to make them shorter makes clearing them quicker.

    Awesome to see the new snow blower in action ! Yeah ! it's a *BEAST* ! The size of that impeller is massive ! Thankfully no damage was done to your PTO when that pin came loose. You gotta bend those cotter pins holding the pins really well. Little things like this make us all hopefully check our own equipment better than we do sometimes for loose or missing things. Thanks for posting !! I wish I had snow like that ! Only have about a foot on the ground. Thanks ! 🙂

    On hard piles of snow it helps to take the bucket and backdrag the pile to break the piles loose then blow the loose snow.

    Exactly like mine. Hint - make sure the nuts for the little round carrier thingie on the top are tightened. Mine vibrated loose the first time. Use Nyloc maybe. That shear bolt on the PTO - it’ll do its job and snap if you get a piece of wood in there. Get a few extra shear bolts. That section where the handle bracket meets the 3 point (with the 2-3 bolts) - make sure those plates line up and tighten them good.

    Looks like the same company that made that one made my nortrac snowblower. Mine works like a beast. I also chose a three-point so I can keep my loader freed up. Plus you can take on way bigger snow with a three-point. One thing I noticed that you got to watch though is you can raise the snowblower up enough that the PTO starts binding a little bit

    Definitely gets the job done. I totally understand your point about the rear mount. I wouldn't want to give up my loader either. I have 3 loader tractors ( 4 , if you count the other loader that I have for the other 520 John Deere) so I would be OK to sacrifice having the loader. I would like the visibility of having the blower on the front. Not going to happen anyway, because my L2501 doesn't have a mid pto. Thanks for sharing Dana. Very happy for you. You have a tool that you will not want to be without from now on. I bet you wonder how you ever operated without it.

    Per your reminder in the video, I signed on! That looks like a good snowblower. I usually have to knock down the windrows too. They will get to be 8 to 10 feet high. The last couple of years have been mild, but we will pay the price soon. Thanks for sharing. - Rick

    As someone who has a 60” Meteor rear PTO snowblower on a sub-compact tractor
    • Your tractor and rear pto snow blower seem to do the job with no issue other than you possibly coming out with a stiff neck when done. Rear PTO blowers near me are about 1/3 the price of front blowers and make it worth it not counting still having a front implement on at the same time too
    • Thanks so very much for posting and sharing 360 - love seeing that snow come out the cute!

    I've got a rear mounter snow blower and it's great. These rear mounts don't throw snow too far as the impeller only spins at 540 rpm. But that's good enough for me as I only need to throw the snow over the drive stone wall. Eventually you will want remote controls over the chute. Mine has hydraulic rotation and an electric flipper control. There are new design rear mount blowers that allow you to blow snow while going forward. Not sure they would work if you needed to move a big pile/drift as you have to be able to drive over what you want to blow.

      Thanks great question as size does matter. I had a lot of hard pack snow to remove and some narrow areas to get in to. I wanted the maximum power for the hard pack snow, piles I made with the bucket. I was worried about how the bigger size would eat the hard pack. The 50 did awesome eating my snow piles never slowed it down. Thanks for watching and have a great one

    Beast. How did u pick this over landpride? Also your rear wheel width is 54”. But blower is 50”. Is that an issue? With deep snow u want your trench wider than wheels

    • @180Floridalife
      @180Floridalife  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for watching, our local kubota dealer only carry this band, for a rear mounted snow blower. The width has not been a issue, I experimented it trenching through my yard with no issues. Usually in the interior of alaska it only snows a few inches in a day, so normally not a issue
