This was originally going to be a 4-panel animatic, but quickly devolved into a month-long endeavor that I’m glad I devoted more time to! I’d been itching to practice more 2D animation, and this time I was able to integrate several sound effects, as well as some thorough lighting and shading, even experimenting with my line style by using the thinnest pencil width instead of my typical thicker brush! I also drew in what I’ll call “wobble frames” for Pomni’s anxious frame holds, which I think nicely distinguished her frantic energy from Jax, haha. XD
I felt weird about ripping music from the actual pilot for this one, so I found a royalty-free alternative. This seemed like a good project to knock off one of my lists, and one of a couple to close out the year! I still have tons more to come, so stay tuned!
