Today, I theorize on what would happen if Kris joined Noelle and Berdly's group!

This is really interesting, and I even thought chapter 2 would be like this when I heard that some of Kris' colleagues joined the adventure. But choose the party members is something that I believe will not be part of the real game, and if it happens, either Toby is saving it for future chapters, or it will only happen in certain events, being a special mechanic for certain occasions.

That's so false it's insane, one, because he is relatively smart, and two, he has way more to than any other lightner known, and he can survive two seperate assaults of being out numbered, survive, get captured by queen, and still have the strength to break his own arm to get free, that's insanely strong for a teen

I always imagined Susie getting kind of a villain arc if she never befriended Kris and Ralsei.
She somehow stumbles upon the Dark World and begins trying to make a name for herself by threatning and intimidating the other residents like she did at the beginning of Chapter 1. Then she overthrows the leader of the Dark World and becomes the final boss of that area.
Later you do end up facing her and she goes more or less through the same arc she did in the original episode 1 & 2.
Berdly had to reject kris, it was a canon event
Technically, you're right, because in three seperate known timelines it has to happen for the story to continue
So this version of deltarune chapter 2 would empathis more on Berdly's arc and Noelle's. It's an interesting idea!
What would snowgrave be
since you introduced party swaping systems i feel like you can if you want to have a 2nd werid route where you manipulate BERDLIY and NOELLE into killing as snowgrave allowes noelle to keep the spell if you hit berdliy with iceshock and berdliy is like noelle not a hero so he can kill too even
i do think a better idea for weird route is to have the 2nd one be more based on Berdly having his Flaws that he talks about in the Light puzzle and exploiting that somehow since a 2nd murder route is cool in idea but gets old very fast so i think just abusing berdlys neglect maybe could work better so its just a social weird route
I like this scenario, but there’s some stuff the puts me off about it
The BIG one being the removal of the ferris wheel scene and the lack of an equivalent - this is the big reason why Noelle goes from her shy and meek self to standing up to Queen at the end of Chapter 2. It feels off that she would go off on Berdly, especially about Susie, without the driving force of “wow, I just got to know this person I like a lot, and they’re actually really cool - now this person is coming along and wanting to hurt them, and under the guise of ‘helping me?’ “
I feel like there isn’t enough of a drive to push Noelle to make that jump and stand up for someone without a similar scenario happening before the Berdly encounter.
It also kind of robs her of that cool moment where she stands up to Queen - it feels earned because we see her realize she thinks Susie is really cool, and she’s rubbing off on her a bit, where here it almost feels like that’s just how she’s always been. Which could work, but takes away her cool character moment where she learns to stand up for herself.
It also bothers me for two more reasons, since there’s a lack of development of Noelle and Susie’s relationship without the Ferris Wheel scene (which is sort of also handed off to the other party members as well, since they all save them), and there’s also no big boss at the end of the chapter. All of this could be remedied ofc, Spamton could replace Queen like he does in Snowgrave and Susie and Noelle might be able to go down a separate Acid Tunnel of Love while Berdly, Kris, and Ralsei go down one (though i’d argue Kris and Ralsei being by themselves, though also with the Player present is going to eventually be important later? maybe Berdly has to go down a third one lol gamers forever alone)
Again, really like the scenario! I can see something pushing Noelle in Chapter 1 to be a little less meek so she does ask Alphys for a group of three, and we could see her pushed even more in Chapter 2 like she already is before she has that big moment where she stands up for herself, Y’know?

I think it's incredibly unlikely that Noelle would snap at one mention of Susie from Berdly. I think it'd take like 3 or 4 for her to start going off on him. Aside from that though, this all seems pretty accurate to the game.
I think berdly would do the peace sign because it's an Earthbound reference, but it's great nonetheless.

Something you missed is that berdly and kris are freinds, its pretty sutble but their freindly rivals in speedrunning and have gamed with eachother, berdly's just kinda got a personality that makes it so you wouldnt relize right away
now make one of these with the original starwalker in the party too

The problem with that is that Temmie would be capable of defeating every boss at once, making this video really short, so they went with Kris instead.

The only thing I do not like there is that Berdly's backstory needs to be heard twice. Do not get me wrong, I like his backstory, but it just feels wrong to see or hear something as impactful more than once.

I'm starting to wonder. Would there be a 'final' boss? Queen probably wouldn't, because like the Snowgrave route, Ralsei explains the roaring and the Queen battle never happens, and the final boss would be Spamton Neo. Spamton Neo also couldn't, because at the end of the fight, Kris calls for Noelle, and Noelle probably wouldn't have the Thorn Ring (plus many levels). Since Queen's battle is skipped, and Spamton Neo's battle in Snowgrave can't work, who would it be? Would Queen still be, or would there be a different one? Just a thought.

I think the ideas are interesting, but some of the diologe ideas are a bit out of character
That and skipping out on 2 different bossfights and snowgrave are pretty big

How moddable is this? Well, not very. The game was hardcoded for 3 characters max, so having 4 party members would require readjusting way too many settings

I like your story, but here’s the problem. It’s boring. There are barely any changes that make it interesting, and the few there are make barely any differences. And while I understand if you were trying to be realistic about it, but I am still confused on why there are no interesting changes. Overall, I think the concept of this video is a little tame, so it’s natural that nothing crazy changes, but I think you can do better than just changing when Berdley joins your team/when he admits he’s not smart, or having Susie and Noelle not go on a Ferris wheel.

I think more changes can be made with one single alteration: Kris should enter the dark world alongside Noelle and Berdly. This could end in two options. Either Kris ends up a peon like Noelle and Berdly and has to serve Queen or Kris fends off Queen from reaching the others and the three of them make their way to fountain, with Queen having to take a different approach since there’s no one to aid her. Both of these options also have to deal with the fact that Susie and Ralsei aren’t with Kris for most of the chapter - and in the former route, might even be at odds…
