- An interesting thing about Holland that has always amused me, is the fact that 'street' dutch contains many words that come from (Darija) Arabic.

It’s incredible how these words are also present in the street language in many western german cities like Düsseldorf. I grew up using some of these words and still using a few of them to this day 😂

However, I do acknowledge that this can be misleading. There are many words in the dictionary that we never use in daily life or never even heard of, still taking in the place of these percentages. It could be that if you look at the words that Spanish people use in daily life, that it would indeed be 30% of their daily speech.

French Street language in the south contains a lot of Darija too because of immigrants from Northern Africa (especially Morocco Algeria Tunisia and Libya a bit) It would be nice to have an interview there too but seriously Dutch people are cool af !!!

A very ethnocentric thing to say. Moroccans have a bad reputation in the Netherlands and they generally (there are many exceptions) deserve that bad reputation.

In Moroccan darija most words are arabic and then you’ll find a great impact of thamazight (stop calling it berber), and of course you’ll find some French and Spanish words because of the colonialisation. But there is no Turkish and mostly no Jewish ( don’t no if you mean Hebrew) in our language. You find in any language influence of other cultures and languages. It’s like you would say there is no Dutch because it’s kind of a mix of German and English.

After watching this video I was left shocked for a few moments, and I was like WTFFFFF is thoa really Netherlands but then I remembered how many Moroccans are out there in Holland and it all makes a lot of sense, big up ✌️ to all ma Moroccan homies u make us proud wherever you go ❤.
I'm learning Dutch but also Arabic from Morocco. I feel ike it's akin to Spanish in Texas or Spanglish. Also, I watch Mocro Maffia and there are no subtitles in English on videoland. Lol.

@Antoine Shelby I love how you switched to English 😂 and it’s the same story here in UK we had so many migrants from India and carve an to come rebuild the country. I think these migrants should be appreciated in Europe and celebrated for what they have done.
@Antoine Shelby No your English is perfect. From travelling around Europe I think France is more right wing than UK. Holland is kind of right wing while Belgium people are very nice and not racist. There is no racism here in UK until you go to northern England from my experience.
