Best Audio Set-Up for Motovlog! Voice and Exhaust

Comparing the GoPro internal audio with a lav. mic plugged into a Zoom H1, a Zoom H1 under the seat and a Zoom H4N under the seat.

That h4n is spot on for the bike sound👌 good the way you have them all setup so you can talk when going slow or talking to mates and then have the bike sounds when on it.

This would be much more apples to apples if you had a dead cat on the H1 as well. Hard to compare when the h1 is wrapped in microfiber and the H4 has a proper dead cat

thanks for the video! Very helpful. I actually prefer the sound out of the cheaper H1 than the H4n Pro. It was more bassy and warm. The H4n pro sounds more muted - any ideas why? Have you tried increasing the input level of the H4n pro from 0.5? There may be more upside before the audio starts clipping.

Hard to beat a Bit of Antrim Coast road 🙂. Been looking for something better than mY rode lav mic and Insta360 for my vlogs. I was looking at the Instamic's but a bit Pricey. Rode Go's are a non starter on price. These H1N Seem decent value with decent recording ability..

i think H4N 0.5 setting is better under seat audio! good!!

The H1 mics are pretty sensitive. Not shocking that you are going to have to run it at about 2-5
