Hope you enjoy this one, fam! The Prodigy are close to my heart, so this was a pleasure 🙂 Let me know what you want to see me cover in a future video 👇
Kaspa koman would be great!
Can you do one in the style of Underworld now!
I can die happy now. :)
So good absolutely nailed it!! Prodigy takes me back aswell with my brother he was always playing them and just remember thinking wow what is this 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Would love see more 90s sounds
"Music for the jilted generation" was my first electronic music album I've got back in the 90's. RIP Keith. Long live The Prodigy
Incredible album!
I know what I'll be listening to today all day today. Thanks for bringing some of the memories back Will, ya legend !
Same here. Had to travel all over my hometown to find a record store that had a copy 😂 Pre-Spotify times... Prodigy was huge early inspiration! Love the Hackers soundtrack
I know the feeling. "Music for the gilted generation" I've had on a CD but "Experience" album was on a cassette tape haha. Good old days.
I have Experience on vinyl, Music for the Jilted Generation on cassette, and Fat of the Land on CD!
Take a bow son, take a bow. I've spent years trying to dissect Prodigy tracks and work out what it was that took them to the next level from other hardcore and jungle techno released at the same time then boom, one video from yourself answers it all. Kudos to you sir.
Cheers, Ben! Much appreciated :)
This is another good coverage of that czcams.com/video/6ZYLp5uX9Yw/video.html
i wish this shit got big again... I was a little too young to have experienced that era...
This record blew my mind when it first came out! I was 13, in Jr. High and it led me down a path that eventually had me and my buddy sneaking out weekend nights to go to raves in abandoned grocery stores, schools and warehouses across the Midwest.
Such a great breakdown of the song, well done.
I just loaded the track into Ableton 11, didn't have Sylenth so used Festival Beez preset in Serum and tweaked the reverb, oh wow, blown away mate the production on this Will is awesome.
Really enjoy these videos. Keep them up!
Your tuts are next level.
The number of producers you will have helped develop beyond the amateur stage cannot be understated.
It's so easy to be caught in tutorial hell because so many of them are purposefully vague and mostly a way to advertise something they're selling.
You're a real one!
Thank you so much! It takes a lot of effort so I really appreciate that :)
This is really good. I love your videos and the paid courses I'm slowly working through. Wish I had found EDMTips 4 years ago when I bought my first synth. Thanks Will.
So good to watch always loved this tuune!
Awesome Will!! Along with No Good, Hot Ride is one of my many favs from the Prodigy along with many others 😜👍
Armen Brother! I Love your tuturials, Im 48 year old beginner, hailing from Penny Lane, Liverpool ... music prod' and mixing is my lockdown learnt skill. i would like to make some old school funky house with funky bass lines and piano, and all da!
Best teacher ever!! 💎💎💎
This is awesome! Spot on, you nailed it. This tune is legendary and timeless, man how much I miss the 90s..
Thank you! I really appreciate that :)
I really appreciate this. Like many others, The Prodigy is one of my biggest influences and inspiration for making music
Awesome, glad you liked it! Prodigy was one of my biggest influences too :)
Wow fast work ! Amazing skillz. Watched this in car (while parked) now looking forward to playing with the tips when I get home. Thank you sir.
Awesome job Will. Liam really is a master of his trade and it's not until you see one of his tracks dissected and remade (see Jim Pavloff's classic remakes) to really appreciate what Liam puts into each of The Prodigys tracks!
Thanks! Yeah, he was way ahead of his time
They were made without a DAW too.
@@EDMTips Liam was of his time, not ahead of it. Other producers on the rave scene were making music like this.
@@AbbiDabbiDooh Plenty of artists and DJ's were making rave tracks and touring this scene. It wasn't just one act. Shades of Rhythm. N-trance, Orbital, Ragga twins, Altern 8, SL2, Adamski, Nightmares on Wax, Mr Monday, K Klass, Zero B, Unique 3, Opus 3, Bizarre inc, Utah Saints, Joey Beltram, 808 State, Future sound of London and that's just off the top of my head. It was a whole scene.
Omg, this tutorial is the bomb. Big thx 4 sharing this 1 🤟 and showing us the way. Respect.
Awesome, it was the Prodigy that got me into the rave scene too!
thanks for this tutorial,
it is really great and gives some very good tips to make some similar style
may the force be with you!!
Hell Yeah! Amen Brotha! Prodigy brought the music I loved to the main stage. Really great remake in such quick time. Awesome!
Couldn't agree more! I saw them live and they brought the heat 🔥
Fantastic ! thanks so much, I love making early 90s breakbeat and I learnt so much 👍
This guy and JimPavlof did very good job on recreating Prodigy tracks !
What a banger! 👏
Woke up this morning feeling a bit disillusioned with my producing and had zero enthusiasm.
That was the tutorial version of a really strong coffee! Am buzzing now and ready to jump back in. Thanks for the kick-start!
Will be looking into your Masterclass 100%
🙌 Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it, and looking forward to meeting you in the Masterclass :)
Great Job!
Another great tutorial, covering one of my favourite tracks.
Your insights, tips & approach really help my producing confidence. Top man 👍
Great to hear, and glad you enjoyed it!
Great! Thanks!!
This is great. The heavy drums of the Prodigy of old still hit the spot 👍
That's brill! thanks Will. I really enjoyed the Old Skool stuff
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Fantastic tutorial. Learnt a few ableton short cuts too.
Hoooly Moly, im only 10 minutes in the video, but this is already my favourite tutorial from you :D
I really want to learn how to write good melodies, or even copy the melody like you did.
Also watching sound design from scratch is another great thing, a lot can be learned from it! Thank You!
Thankfully i saw Prodigy in live a few years ago, i will never forget that feeling and vibe what was there :)
Yep...great live band!
So happy that you made this tutorial. Legendary, cheers mate.
Really glad you enjoyed it! I enjoyed making it 😎

Hell yeah! Amen brother! This is amazing. Really makes you scratch your head when you realize how Liam brought it all togheter to one cohesive fat and amazing track. Amen Liam. Keep the Prodigy alive.
Thanks, thanks and thanks again... I was living in UK when The Prodigy exploded and lived all that as a university student. You just remembered me one of my best experience of my life!!! Keep the good work!

Nice choice!
Amen Brother. Chemical Brothers next!!
Great suggestion! What's your favourite track of theirs?
Star Guitar!
Under the influence. Neighbors love it.
Great tutorial! The Prodigy was the reason I started listening to and also making electronic music in the end of the 90's! I'd love to see / hear your take on any track from TFOTL. Cheers from Finland!

Awesome mate, thank you so much! Learnt a heap. Now to put it into practice...
You're welcome! 🙂
Great job mate. I was a diehard Meralhead until I heard this tune. Let the nostalgia flow! Lol

Glad you liked it! Any particular artists or tracks you're digging at the moment?
WOW Brilliant !!
Thanks Ian!

Thanks!
I love how you blend into the screen with a glow outline like a musical angel. 👼😀
😆 New editor!
I'm a huge fan of the Prodigy especially Liam Hewlett he's one of the kings of sampling and sounddesign !
Me too; WAAAAY ahead of his time
My granddad bought me 'The Prodigy - Experience' for Christmas as a kid. Playing 'Out of Space' he was going 'Pay close attention' 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
Best grandad! 🙌
Amen brother. A fine classic recreated. Learning so much off your videos. I'd love you to do some Orbital :) oh and Happy 2022
I like how you broke down the process of making your track! it helped me create a new formula for one of mine
Glad it helped!
AWZ0M!
Awesome
YESSirrrrr!!!

Fantastic Tutorial
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
MORE TRANCE TUTORIALS PLEASE! UPLIFTING & TECH TRANCE
Hell yea!!
BOOM! 🙌🙌 Thanks, Jack :)
I make oldskool music and this was very insightful, thanks.
Hell yeah sir, 100% awesome nice bit of high energy to get moving too. Imagine the amount of gear they had doing this originally compare to a single laptop and the Internet to source almost any sound.
Indeed! Different times. I do miss the days of external hardware, though!
Ohhh. Prodigy!!! 😲👏👏👏
🙌🙌 😎
I will surely use this tutorial in my new beat :-) Thank you!
You're welcome, Greg, I am glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
v cool mate hell yeah
BOOM! 🙌🙌
Good vidéo !
Thanks!
After seeing a few of your old-school tutorials, I'd like to see your take on some more 90s hard trance. The likes of Cocooma - Rage or some riot bros tracks. Have that analog sound which I find very hard to replicate with modern digital samples being so crisp.
