      Sam 998 it's not out of the realm of possibility. Disney is going to be pushing star wars films pretty much till the end of time since they bought them out, similiar to what they're doing with Marvel. Once the sequel trilogy is done then the chances of seeing Old Republic related content is exponentially higher. And although the Old Republic story is considered non-canon, there are parts being cherry picked into canon such as Darth Bane's appearance in TCW series. Revan was also set to appear in TCW but was later scrapped. There's literally an unlimited amount of chances for Old Republic movies/shows, it's just a matter of time. There's still hope guys.

      It's hard comparing Sidious/Vitiate,they were both extremely powerful in the dark side and Sith alchemy. Sidious is considered the darkside incarnate by Lucas himself and ruled the Galaxy. Vitiate has destroyed planets, killing all life to fuel his evil essence. Both using essence transfer on host bodies for immortality. They're both interesting characters in their respective empires/timelines. I would love to see an Old Republic series with Valkorion/Vitiate and see how much power he has and how he wields it.

    • @phantom1a2
      @phantom1a2 Před 4 lety +6

      Indeed, his arrogance did slow him down, but not destroy. His original first body is still alive, even to the age of Sidious some felt his dark presence. @@phantom1a2 Sidious is NO where near Vitiate level. Sidious is a very successful sith and nothing else. Even sith get lucky and achieve golds if they plan carefully and cover contingency plans Thrawn was a no body in the force but clearly the most dangerous person in the empire after force users. Power does not mean everything something Vitiate learn before his end. He was so powerful he became ignorant that he could still lose vs many. His children, wife and the outlander (force for canon) Ganged up on him and drove him out. All of them very powerful them self's were needed for this. Sidious died to 1 man and didn't even see it coming like he went down like a clown not like a boss like Valkorian died after being killed many times and still came back for more. There is no comparison you all need to stop deluding your self to such silly fantasy's. Its better that Sidious was a Average powerful sith anyways makes his death and end seem more acceptable and makes for a good story. He was respected not even so much as the emperor but worshiped as a living god, having no need of a facade to hide his Sith persona. The Jedi order he dealt with were more numerous, more powerful and and less out of touch than the ones Sidious ever faced in the waning days of the Jedi when the Republic was old and tired.

      Katie Persons The Jedi of the prequels are more powerful. Sidious was a master of all 7 forms of lightsaber combat and capable of defeating 3 of the most skilled Jedi swordmasters in the blink of an eye. He was able to continuously drain the life energies of the 20 billions inhabitants of Byss while simultaneous keeping them in a dream-like state. He wiped the minds of millions or more of Coruscant citizens to hide the burial of the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya. He could sense Vader's traitorous thoughts from across the galaxy. His Force Storms could wipe entire planets clean of life or engulf entire fleets of ships. He was able to hold his consciousness back from the maddening expanse of Chaos and not only transfer his own essence, but that of others, such as Bevel Lemelisk. And he was only finally stopped by accidentally binding himself to a Jedi becoming one with the Force. Even then, it took every Jedi who had joined the Force to hold his essence from ever returning

      Katie Persons Most of Vitiate's power came from rituals and relics tho. Unlike Palpatine he was not extremely powerful in a lightsaber duel, and was not that much of an expert in many thecniques other than consiousness transfer.
      However, Vitiate was the Sith lord who got the nearest to immortality. Even Darth Plaeguis admitted it, and he could do stuff that Vitiate couldn't.
      Since immortality is the second thing sith are the more obsessed about (their one true love being superweapons) it is safe to say Vitiate could be the most succesful sith ever.

    • @katiepersons6575
      @katiepersons6575 Před 6 lety +96

      If he wasn't extremely powerful in a lightsaber duel then he more than held his own in a fight just the same with the Force alone. He completely dominated a Jedi dream team strike force so elite that up to that point, had never known failure, only to end up bent helplessly to Vitiate's will. Darth Revan and Malak, two extremely powerful Sith in their own right, challenged Vitiate simultaneously and both got their asses flattened. The thing about Vitiate is not that he wasn't the finest swordsman amongst all the Sith. The thing about Vitiate is that he was so overwhelmingly dangerous that even Revan would fall flat on his face before Vitiate even needed to draw his weapon.

    Vitiate, Valkorion, tenebrae is still the most powerfull Sith Ever lived. I don't trust those books where people say that Sidious can summon force storms to destroy planets... Why would he even build the Death Stars? To kill time? A hobby maybe? if he can do all that... Flawed logic.
    Well it is now confirmed that the Machine "Zildrog" had some role with Vitiate's rise to power too. Let's see what we can have, before sidious became a crippled, walking-stick man, he was good in Lightsaber combat. Then as Emperor he Left melee combat and became better with just pointing his fingers to his target and shoot lightning. Which Valkorion did. But Valkorion isn't a crippled old man.
    Valkorion / Vitiate din't even used the term "i can feel your anger" or "I can sense your fear" to manipulate his foe. He used the knowledge of every being he had and turned them to the dark side. hence why revan and malak or basically anyone who found Vitiate's secret Location in Dromund Kaas before the Great Galactic wars.
    Looking at Sidious, i say that sidious rather looked up to Vitiate / valkorion as a kind of Idol. "I wanna be like him when i'm older" kind of thing.

      @@darthinhilus2416 you're right. and if the Op knew a bit more about Sidious, he/she would know that a lot of imperials including vader found the death stars unnecessary and that it was just Sidious serving his ego and wanting to have a vessel that symbolized power and inflicting terror. he also was aware that outside the galaxy another force existed and that spied on his galaxy and that it could pose threat, which were the Yuuzhan Vong, but he didn't really knew them, just that an extra galactic force was present at the borders of the galaxy.
      And the ability to summon Force Storms Sidious just learned to use, very late, shortly before his fist physical death over endor, and that ability was quite unstable to use, especially insie a battle station, and he didn't even consider the rebels worth to be defeated by him, but let his men do the work and instead focused on turning Luke to the dark side.
      The only reason why Vitiate became so powerful early on, was because he focused much more ot become powerful in using the force and because he grew up in a more hostile environment, and one controled by the sith were he would learn quicker what the force is and discover and understand his abilities better, while sidious could also use the force to an extent before he became plagueis apprentice, but still it took him longer to really understand his potential. and sidious was busy with his and his masters plans at first and only after he became emperor he really had more time to study the force more than he did before. and at some point learned the ability ot summon force stroms and essence transfer, the former vitiate never learned.
      also the reason why vitiate became so old was because drurning the first decades of his live he tricked a bunch of powerful sith lords to participate in ritual, which would sacrifice them and feed vitiate's power and increase his life span it wasn't his ownj potential in the force that made it possible.
      All in all sidious' potential was higher than that of vitiate.
      the biggest problem was, that his power grew too fast and the dark side thus clouded more and more of his own insight of the future and made him less cautious, which led to his fall, while vitiate just hold back most of his time and never controlled as much of the galaxy as sidious did. that and it was simply the will of the force to balance itself by neutralizing that dark side embodiement that sidious had become and the vast and quick increase of the dark side power, throughout the decades.

    I've lost count of how many "most powerful Sith in the galaxy" there actually are. I guess they all think they are the most powerful ones. #SnowflakeSith

    Vitiate might be the most badass character in the entirety of the Expanded Universe.

    If I remember correctly when Valcorian left the Sith Empire and became Emperor Vitiate he no longer considered himself a sith. Just a darkside user since he didn't follow that tenants. In fact I think he mocked the Sith

    Vitate will be the KEY that connects everything. They are creating a Old Republic set of movies

      Well if I were them, I would add Vitate he jumps from body to body. Built a Sith and Enteral Empire. They would be crazy to miss it, also KOTOR is getting a set of movies. All this has to connect someway. Also the biggest hint is Snoke says the same exact thing he does" I can not be betrayed, I can not be beaten. Both Snoke and Vitate said those very words.
