- Beautiful acoustic set from Samantha Fish. She came to the festival with her whole band, but after seeing the small stage, decided on a solo performance for this segment.

Apologies for some of the flaws. My first attempt at video of a concert. I was holding my cell phone without a brace of any sort. Also, my phone chopped the file into 4 GB segments, about 29 min. each, so there are some glitchy transitions where I spliced them back together.
So great to hear Samantha play old blues on acoustic!
This is one of the first performances I watched on line. I was hooked!
I have a whole new level of respect for Samantha Fish. I already loved her music.
Especially since this was an impromptu, unplanned set; she made it up on the spot, with probably 15-20 min. prep time.

I saw her a couple weeks ago at the World Cafe in Philadelphia, and she just blew the freaking room away. Unfortunately, she was just the opening act so it was over in about 45 minutes. I had come to see her but I stuck around for a few songs by the main act, and they were good, but they paled in comparison so I just left. I can't wait for the chance to see her play a full concert!
Why am I just discovering Samantha Fish? Awesome! this is the first acoustic set I've seen of her. She has a great stage presence.

We saw her last night at Toad's Place and she is fabulous. The sound system was so loud it almost spoiled the experience. Listening to her with fingers in my ears and watching her play.".I saw she was still awesome. I wish she did an acoustic performance.
I wear professional-quality earplugs (like concert photographers use) & it helps a great deal. This acoustic set was quiet & intimate enough that they were not necessary, but with her full band, and my fondness for standing as close as possible, the earplugs are a must.

Just saw her last night in KC, so good! This set is awesome, her acoustic talent gets overshadowed by how great she is with an SG!
By the way, you did a great job with this video, even more so with an iPhone!!
She is awesome with her SG, and any other guitar she picks up, but my favorite to listen to her play is the Delaney Telecaster model SF 1, aka the Fish-o-caster. She doesn't play it in her shows much anymore, but when she was touring for Black Wind Howling and Wild Heart she played the hell out of that thing. I think when they let her start playing shows again she's got a Fender Jaguar that's her new favorite and she'll be playing a lot.

We were as close as possible. There was a walkway between the stage & the seating area.

They “postponed “ her Cigar Box Blues festival in New Orleans this 01/13-16/21. But she’s coming back to Grass Valley for the Strawberry Festival in March. Maybe she can bring my refund. It’s a long story.
I know several VIP ticket holders who received their refunds almost immediately. I am sure there is a story, as you say, but I have heard that the organizers have been very responsive to ticket holders. Best of luck!
