- For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1957 Cadillac Series 60 Special Fleetwood. The 1957 Series 60 special saw a lot of changes in design that would shape the way for future generations of Cadillac. The most noted change that Cadillac made to the series 62 and 60 was the introduction of the tubular X frame that allowed for a lower body without cutting into cabin space. Decked out in its original black paint our survivor 57 is certainly a sight to behold. Topped off with sweeping stainless steel panels and iconic shark fins it’s hard to not look at this beauty. This vehicle is a true 3 owner car still being powered by the same 365CID that it came with in 1957. Backing that impressive power plant is the 4 speed hydramatic transmission proving that this beast is just at home on the highway as it is tooling around the city. Styling points certainly didn’t get lost in the interior, with chrome abound and classy black and white vinyl tuxedo interior you’ll never want the drive to end. In the 50’s Cadillac was indeed ahead of their time in luxury features such as power seats and power windows all of which are present and functioning in this example. This beautiful Fleetwood also comes with not only its survivor low mileage pedigree but she was also used in the second season of the Starz series Magic City based in 1959 Miami. Inside the trunk you will find trophies galore of best in show un restored, and multiple placements in survivor category. If you’re looking for a real deal survivor Cadillac then look no further, this is about as clean as they come and with only 29,098 miles still has plenty of time left to cruise and show. Located in our Orlando Showroom, this can be seen including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. One of the first GM designs without a B-Pillar body architecture. Interesting.
Driving miss daisey anyone?
Made in a time before wind tunnels and regulations dictated the style.
Too bad it lacks air conditioning. I'd be tempted to add it if I owned the car, but that would probably make it less show-worthy.
Air-conditioning was an available option, including heating, for all 1957 Cadillac models.
