At 5:48 I’m not sure about the chisel lifting the disk when inserted in to the port. Maybe it makes no difference but it looks like it has some play.

You need to emphasise that when using a honing guide to sharpen you have to go through the grits as the bevel is never quite the same because the iron projection is never exactly the same. With the worksharp you just stick the blade in the port for a couple of seconds and pull it out thereby removing any burr. Always at the same angle. Mine is set up at 25 degrees with 1000 grit. 10 seconds a day to keep a blade sharp! Ridiculously efficient.

I'm a big fan of your knife sharpeners. I've got both of them, and I'm thinking about getting either the WS2000 or the WS3000 as well. I really like the improved features of the WS3000, but I've seen where it's not recommended for sharpening many of the things that the WS2000 works for, axes for example. Is that correct? Can the WS3000 not sharpen everything that the WS2000 can? I really like the features of the WS3000 and it's ability to use Tormek jigs for precise sharpening on the upper system, but if possible I'd really rather have one machine that can sharpen all my tools.
Have you guys considered making another machine that combines the capabilities of the WS2000 & the WS3000? Perhaps a WS4000, just like the WS3000 but with adjustable speed?

Great machine at an even "greater" price! Wish I could afford one.

Hi, I enjoy my WS3000. At times, though, I could use slower revolutions for use in specific applications. Please advise as to how, (if possible), to use a rheostat or other device, to reduce RPM’s. If your next updated model had that feature, I am certain it would create additional interest, simultaneously boosting sales interest. Please advise. Thanx again for a very useful addition to my bench-top activities. Respectfully, RS

With the expense of the disks It is too bad you cannot utilize the entire width of the sandpaper.Other than that I enjoy mine.
