@Y Alz I grew up on Beethoven, and then heavy into Mozart, as I could feel his vibe in my early recovery. . Past few years really got into Bach, ( I'm a non musician)... .I realized growing up catholic , Bach wasn't really a thing. And I Thought Bach to be a bore, then finding out he had 22 kids, pulled a knife on someone in a rehearsal, figured maybe not so boring. Now I'm listening to the full bwv. So yes, Mozart and Beethoven are but Bachs children.

When i was 3, my mom bought me a casette of classical music collection, and this one instantly became my favorite. 17 years later, i’m still playing this song everytime i wanna go to sleep. Such a beautiful, relaxing masterpiece.

Musicians such as Bach and Handel had strong religious convictions which were the norm during their lifetimes. Many of their compositions strongly suggest that they were very often touched by the hand of God while creating such beauty and loveliness. Listen to todays popular "music" and, in contrast, you will detect the guiding hand of Satan.
This piece of music brings tears to my eyes and gives me goosebumps on my arms all over. I hope one day my choir conductor will bring pieces of him although Haendel and Mozart that we perform now is also magnificent. In 2021 our amateur choir will perform Mozart's requiem in Brussels. Ask me next year what exact dates we'll perform this masterpiece of Mozart.

This piece was the inspiration for Procol Harum's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' which was released in May, 1967. Their version with the Danish National Concert Orchestra & Choir in 2006 is truly spectacular. Thank you, Mr. Bach, for a timeless and beautiful piece of music.

Wow an hour of this masterpiece just lifts my soul. The original from orchestral suite no. 3 in D 'air' was never long enough. I'd spend hours and hours with it on repeat 1 for 30 or so plays. What a tremendous gift to humanity Bach gave us, astounding X

This piece has a sort of bittersweet feeling to it. It feels happy and sad at the same time. Like when something good happened in your life and you're happy that it happened but you're sad that it's ending.

In our family we listened to everything from Classical to Jazz, so I have an appreciation for all kinds of music. We have a classical station in our town that is on 24 - 7. My radio is tuned to it and it stays on 24 - 7. In the car I listen to pop or jazz. I hope I am well arounded muscially.
I've never had good experiences as regards Bach, because when I played the piano with my teacher, I was 10-12 y o and I couldn't enjoy what I was playing. But now, a few years later as I'm listening to this, I'm obsessed with it. Love it and cannot study because I must listen to the music, the lines, the different musical instruments... love it, thanks to share

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm actually going to share this with a group of people, as I'm using it for a wedding rehearsal. The string quartet will not be at the rehearsal and this will fill the bill perfectly. There are several students who will be in the wedding party. I'm going to be sure to tell them about this (and the other versions!). I'll revisit this often. :)

Interessante nesta obra de arte observar que enquanto os violinos conversam entre si os Cellos e Trompetes marcam a temporalidade, inexoráveis. A genialidade presente no desnvolvinento da Ária e a idéia sempre presente da contraposição. Só Deus pode inspirar alguém a compor com tanta formosura.
