@@Kenichi05you have to look up. “Disk brake conversion kit installation.” Then get the ones for whatever car your converting.

@@Kenichi05 It's not that hard just annoying getting the springs back on some cars. Just get a manual for your car it gives you the information. And one tip do one side at a time so you have a reference for the spring location.

Lots of people don't know about brake proportional and they just swap drum to disc without knowing the thing they are doing is endangering themselve, here's the thing some car manufacturer set the brake fluid hydraulic to give more clamp force to the rear first because drum brakes need a higher force to engaged, the force for a disc brake to clamp is lesser than what a drum brake need so by swapping drum to disc you will encounter a problem where the back side will clamp first before the front this is not a problem on a straight road but on turn this will cause you to lock your rear wheel causing you to lose control, car enthusiast knows about this that is why there is a thing called proportional valve to comprehend and readjust where the brake fluid should go first, never swap your drum to disc if you don't know about it.

Great info. I was thinking about getting a drum to disk kit for my late 80’s daily, but after watching a few videos and going over the cost. I might just stick with my drums and put new parts in them. The cylinders are leaking so my rear brakes BARELY work. But it’s wayyy cheaper to make them work again rather than do a conversion

Drum brakes can technically give you better stopping power because they're bigger but they don't shed heat very well and they fill up with brake dust which quickly starts to affect their effectiveness. Also if you drive through deep water they can fill and take a little bit of time to drain and clear for operation.
