I've yet to encounter a brown recluse or black widow, but i wouldn't be afraid at all, i hold every spider i see! I've never been bit, i hold wasps too and I've never been stung even if i poke at one defending a small nest, but im still a bit more comfortable around spiders even if i love wasps a bit more. i love how you're showing there's nothing to be afraid of! i not saying everyone should go out and start holding spiders, but they should at least treat them with respect, they're beautiful critters
Really pretty spider! I was always taught if they or a black widow bites you then your arm will slough off and you will get a heart attack and then they will steal your gf too. and I can only confirm the last claim :'( I will say as pretty as they are, Recluse infestations are not a good time.
Same color as a damn TICK! That's good to know. What sucks about the brown recluse Is that the males look exactly like heckle mesh Weaver spiders, which also bite. But the heckle fuckers bite is painful, the brown recluses is not normally. you might not know you have it until it looks like a damn gunshot wound, I had three or four bites in the last three years. I live basically on the Mississippi river in West Baton Rouge Parish. We got all manner of poisonous critters that live in the US, all concentrated in this one area. Wheee. So fun. 😒
I wanna agree with you that she's beautiful buuuuut I can't. Cus I'm scared. I think it's just a texture thing. Buuuuut I won't kill a spider anymore cus you said. So I'll just take it outside.... far far FARRRRRR away from my house. 😂
I get what you’re trying to do man. I’ve handled a few spiders. None venomous. But, the risk to reward ratio of putting it on your face isn’t worth it.
They have the potential to cause some serious damage. Won’t kill you but once you see the medical bills roll in from fixing the hole they make in your skin you’ll hope every one of these things die

found some huge ones in an old apartment i lived in, but i was never bitten. at some point you just quit caring.
