A Trans Euro Trail story through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia (Tenere 700)

- Enjoy "Living the dream". It's a footage of my recent motorcycle adventure on the Trans Euro Trail in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia travelling solo on a modified Yamaha Tenere 700 in August and September 2020.
Cause Covid-19 I had to change my plan to travel TET Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, North Mazedonia, Albany... and was forced to discover the Baltic staates. Something I never regretted. This area is really nice for solo adventure riding and wild camping.

great respect for this shade of mud, as if I saw myself in the Polish section of TET next to Augustów - fight for life. the biggest mistake is driving alone...
When there is no riding buddy avaiable you have only two choices: Stay at home or challenge life on your own with all the risks that come across ;-)

solo GS 12 rider so I recognize the situations, nice vid captures the everyday difficulties of solo travel very well and the joys's too. Good effort on the riding and the video too thanks.

This was excellent! This summer rode TET for the first time in Finland and fell in love with it. Baltics & Poland are on the bucket list, as they can be reached quite easily from Finland. Thanks for sharing this, might need to select lighter bike than a big GS for these trails!
A lighter bike or a travel mate would be better. You can do a lot of it with a GS (800? Or 1250?) but IT's easier and more fun on light bikes.

Hi Poida, one day I would like to do the Cape York trip on a motorbike. It's going to be a challenge but also a lot of fun... Maybe you guys find a way to mount a motorbike on your Troopys ;-)
Nice video, great trip. It looks kind of fun but also very demanding. You will have to be strong to lift such a heavy bike that many times. If I ever do Baltikum it will be with a lot lighter bike. Thanks for the video, these trails is on my todo list.
I do lift weights 4x a week ;-)

Just bring a friend or two and you should be fine. It´s a great part of the TET and less crowded than most parts of south and middle Europe... Safe travels. See ya on the trail...
This was brilliant! Big thanks for the upload. It wants me to ride the TET in those countries although it looked quite tough sometimes. But I think a lighter bike would be more appropriate. 👍🏻🇸🇪🍻

Which part can you recommend most to ride in france? If Covid restrictions are allowing it i look forward to spend like two weeks in my bike in April - I considered riding towards france.

By far one of the best videos out there . The scenery is primo..
Sitting here in North Carolina in the United States it is funny to see at your 20:00 mark or so the pine trees and sugar sand . Identical scenery we have back in New Jersey in the Pinelands where I am originally from.. I haven’t ridden for years but if I could ever make it out that way I would team up with some friends that are a mix of younger and older retired hockey players out that way in Latvia and Finland (basically family) .
Is there a GPS tracking /mapping program specific to your region ?
Hi mate, yeah there is a website called transeurotrail.org where you can find all the tracks for download.
Brave to do this with no crash bars!!

About three weeks what you can see on the video. My hole trip was longer. Have a look on my website where you can find all about the specs...
Great video, you choose some interesting places, not specifically on TET route, at least in Latvia. Maybe you could share gpx , would like to explore them myself.
What spots do you mean exactly? I mostly rode the TET. Give me the time on the timeline (video) and I can tell you where it is.

Super cool! hast du nur mit dem Handy navigiert? Ich fahre in einem Monat von Helsinki nach Berlin. Wollte zumindest Teile davon auf dem TET fahren..
Ich habe ausschließlich mit meinem alten Samsung Galaxy S5 navigiert. Würde dir aber ein gebrsuchtes Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4s empfehlen. Gibt's für kleines Geld u im Gegensatz zum S5 ist das Xcover wasserdicht. Als Software schwöre ich auf Osmand+ mit Offlinekarten (auch Höhenlinien, Hangneigung...). Viel Spaß auf deiner Tour.

Why? If you don`t wanna ride solo, its your personal choise. But eberybody is free to decide how he wants to travel and how he wants to discover our planet on a motorbike. If you are scared to ride solo or have security concerns then don`t ride alone but don`t tell other what they have to do. Cheers, Stefan.

Yeah it`s tough but the TET is designed for light weight and middle weight Enduros.

Wow tolles Video! Wie viel km waren das und wie lange warst du unterwegs? :)
Das Video zeigt nur einen Teil meiner Tour. Das waren über 6000km und über 20 Tage (sieht man am Ende des Videos genau). Danach ging es noch offroad durch Deutschland (inkl TET) und den kompletten TET Dänemark.
Overall tenere is a great bike
But my riding style is more highways roads and less offroad and light and medium offroad i think 1200 ot 1250gs would be great for me but tenere and 1250 both are my dream bikes

just check out the TET Latvia track on the TET App. There are only 2 water crossings ;-)
I ride the TET myself. Just for information: riding on those EE sea waters (or even on the seaside sand) will earn you hundreds and hundreds of euros ticket when caught. Just saying, not prohibiting (I'm not the best person in the eyes of the law myself).

@@BurningFeetAdventures yeap, the same law as in Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. Riding across the forest is forbiden in Poland too. Think the same is in Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. Better watch out ;-)

Stuff like the sandy hill is stopping me from riding tet with my t7. im just to afraid to get stuck as Im a beginner in dirt bike riding...
yeah some parts can be hard when you are riding on your own but don`t be too scared. My advice: walk through the tricky stuff first and if you don`t feel compfortable just check the gps maps and find a may around... Greetings from Germany.

@@soldarknezz den deutschen TET bin ich 3x gefahren. Ich würde dir den Ostteil empfehlen (Schwedt-Lübeck). Da ist mehr Gelände als im Westen. Vom Fahren her ist es auch gut zu bewältigen. Wenn es einige Tage stark geregnet hat, hast du 2-3 Passagen, die etwas schlammiger und rutschiger sind. Sollte aber trotzdem kein Problem mit der Reiseenduro darstellen.

@@charliem5332 I don`t know how skilled you are but when you wanna ride alone it's not a bad idea to know how to handle a big and heavy adventure bike... But there is still plenty of time to practice. I trained with my T7 every week in off road conditions last winter to get used to the bike... Have fun...
