Thanks! I just watched your video. So good adventure! It looks like you enjoyed it as much as I did. The engine and the motorcycle is ok. I drowned my bike on the first day of my trip :D But after several oil flushing procedures I was able to continue and finish my trip. It’s fun to remember that swamp now, but that time it wasn't funny at all and cost me about 5 hours :)
Hey man, love your videos. I just recently got into adventure riding with my XT660R. I am from Latvia and tried riding the TET part in Latgale last weekend (you can watch the video on my channel, but it is not as exciting as yours, hehe). Unfortunately did not finish the trip because my chain worn out just like yours did. What are some modifications that you recommend the most on the bike? I see you are running without the front sprocket guard. Is this intentional? Mine collects a lot of debris quite fast and would like to know if there are any downsides of running without it. What do you think about the bikes throttle response? Have you done anything regarding it? Thanks and am looking forward to more of your videos!
Thanks Emils! I think XT's main problem is a too soft stock suspesnion if you are offroad oriented driver. So probably I would say it's a suspension mods. Aftermarket exhaust would go next, because life is too shot to ride with a stock mufflers :D I took front sprocked guard off just because it's collects mud ant it's difficult to wash it out.
Thanks, the trip was really awesome! Actually everything is recorded on Gopro 5 without any auxiliary microphone or foam to block the wind noise, so there are lot of footage filled with wind noise, but I used a music to mask it :)
Thanks! Yes, I really like my XT. It's a comfy bike, I didn't even get tired of driving it. Of course with lighter bike would be easier in some sections, but it's not a rally or other kind of competition so the bike's weight was not a problem for me ... except that time in the swamp :D

Sveikas. Ačiū, smagu tai girdėti :) Navigavau su Locusmaps Pro programėle android telefone. Telefono laikiklis iš Ali, bet gan rimtas. Esminis dalykas kad jis turi wireless fast chargingą, todėl labai patogu nes nereikia jokių laikų, plius gali nebijoti lietaus, nes krovimas per USB nebeveikia kai krovimo lizdas gauna drėgmės. Tai visumoje labai geras derinukas toks laikiklis su waterproof telefu :)
Mačiau. Kažkaip įdomiai gavosi, kad tiek Lietuvos tiek Estijos TET'us atnaujino kai juos įveikiau. Estijos tracką grynai sekančią dieną atnaujino, kai jau grįžinėjau per Latviją :)
It depends on many factors - driving skills, tires, weather, etc. But I would say TET is built for adventure bikes, not for light enduro bikes, because most of the track is simple gravel road and just some parts are more tricky.
Sveikas. Caberg xTrace. Iš esmės tai uždaro tipo šalmas tik, kad turi tą snapelį, kurį turi MX šalmai. Kelionėse toks variantas man pats geriausias, nes pilnai uždengia veidą, nešvilpia vėjas taip būna su akiniais MX šalme. Tarp kitko šitame šalme galima nuimti stiklą ir naudoti su MX akiniais, bet po teisybei tas nėra labai patogu ir išdirbta, todėl geriau turėti atskirą MX šalmą. Rasojimo bėdos nėra, nes esu įdėjęs pinlock'ą, tai nebent tik žiemą prie didelio šalčio kažkiek pradeda rasoti. Man asmeniškai pagrindinis tokio šalmo trūkumas yra kai kai važiuoji grupėse ir tenka važiuoti dulkėse. Tuomet akys būna pilnos smėlio. Būtent tada MX šalmas su atskirais akiniais yra geresnis pasirinkimas.
Man tai adv tipo šalmas labai pasiteisines. Gerai prie didesnių greičių, šaltų oru arba lietaus. Esu įsidėjęs pinlock'ą tai nerasoja iš vidaus. Krosinio tipo su MX akiniais pranašumas yra kai važiuoji dulkėse, tada akys švarios. Arba galima ieškoti adv tipo šalmo su nuimamu stikliuku ir tada gali dėti akinius. Maniškiam taip irgi galima, bet nėra labai patogu, geriau tam atskirą MX šalmą turėti.

Thanks! Front springs are changed to Ohlins linear ones, plus Racetech gold valves installed. Handlebar is 28mm diameter, but I don't know its brand.

Not much actually in comparison with others 1 cylinder bikes. Whole trip the vibration didn’t bother me at all.
