Looks like a great spot, especially since it was so hot. Some of that flint sure is pretty! Looking forward to part 2. 😊

In part two I will cut some of these open to see the real beauty. Thanks for watching

Wow there is a lot of great material there! It kind of sucks that you are there for the wedding and can't pack out a bunch of rocks with you! But wow that is some gorgeous material! No arrow heads but with all the pretty flint around you, it's easy to forget what you were looking for in the first place! 😆 Thanks Kurt❣️

I took home a decent amount so I’ll clean them up and cut a few for part two to reveal the real beauty. Totally agree about forgetting lol. Thanks for always watching and leaving a detailed comment.

Yeah I haven’t seen it full since 2007 but then again I moved out in 2017. I’ll be back in this area late fall for another longer rock hunt. Thank for watching Bob

Looks like a lot of great material, good place to take a bag or bucket I'm thinking. Don't feel too bad, I walk off randomly looking for rocks too. I look forward to seeing them cleaned up, thanks for taking us along.

Totally, next time I’ll be back in the late fall for another hunt and I’ll bring a bucket or two 😂. For part two I’ll cut some open. Thanks for watching bro.

I love how it isn’t the same Colo. river. We often go north out of Cortez….we go north-west. When we say Dolores river, most peopl think we mean the West Dolores. We don’t. We go to Dove Creek, then north. We cross the ( just) Dolores by Slick Rock, the pick it up again after Uravan. We stay on 141 until we hit I-70. This is one of the most beautiful, empty, drives in America. Eggar is farm country, then, in a few miles, the world drops away at Slick Rock. The drive north to Gateway is beautiful red rock canyon. At Grand Junction, we head toward you, then north at Rifle. That far west part of Colorado is seldom seen by outsiders.
It’s nice that you show Texas hill country. I have not been, but friends used to live there. Thanks!

Cool I’ll have to do that drive soon. I’m from the texas hill country area.. it’s where all my family and old friends live. The “Lower Colorado River” was named from when Texas was part of Mexico. The name Colorado means colorful so the river was called the Colorful River. When I movers to Colorado I was so confused cause I couldn’t trace the link where the river here connected in Texas 🤣.
For Texas I think the best city is Austin by far but the Big Bend and Hill County are the most beautiful areas.
      Thanks for watching 🤙
