EVERY MUSLIM SHOULD READ THIS!! To the person who’s planning to make this recipe, always make sure it’s halal. Not just by not putting pork meat on it. I researched that Chinese Bean Paste she used and saw the ingr used were: Ingredients: Wheat flour, water, caramel color, soybean, salt, alcohol (to preserve freshness). There are haram derivatives (alcohol) used in that certain blackbean paste. Make sure to research or make your own black bean paste, just to make it sure it’s halal.
You're right! You should use all the ingredients halal. I tried to find halal chunjang, the black soybean sauce but I was told by food producers that all halal-certified sauces made in Korea are exported. That is why I made Tteokbokki sauce from the scratch without using gochujang. I think you can get halal sauce where you live. Please use that to make this dish. I should have said that in my video. I have lots of experience in cooking halal Korean food and am still making researches on it. I hope you understand my situation. Thank you for the comment!
Eurghhhh I just had a huge dinner too. Then I see this. Looks amazing! That shiny sauce! I can smell it from here. How could I be so hungry again. Odds of a 2-dinner evening are high and climbing. Thank you, Miss Jia!
As interracial couple , it's really a relief I can find such easy & delicious korean meal . My korean husband and my daughter really love it . Thank you for recipe !
Thank you so much for telling us the one halal way of making it,it is so help full for the muslim kpop and kdrama fans ❤ i hope i can get the black souce in Pakistan 🇵🇰
I've never tried Chicken Jjajangmyeon.......will definitely make that. Also, when ever you visit Houston, TX......Please stop by Shan Hu at HMart, Pak's Noodle House, and North China for Jjajangmyeon.
Really, thank you for deciding that on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, I would go to a Korean restaurant run by Egyptians, but of course, based on Korean origins. I hope that it will be an enjoyable experience, and that jjamyong will be delicious and I like it. This popular dish has remained in vogue.
Omg sister thank you so much i found you by coincidence,i live in china and i always wanted to try these noodle but now i think i will cook it myself and thank you so much again
wuaaaaaahhhh!!!!😍😍😍 thank you soo much...i just watched a video of jjajangmyeon recipe (which was with pork) and i was sad i couldn't have it😕..then i saw ur video of the halal jjajangmyeon 🤩..now i can make it😁..and u have explained it soo well.. thank you again❤️😻
Hi jia im making this tonight purchased 2 chujang sauce packs as i love this so much cant wait to make this for me and my partner thankyou for the recipe❤
Fatty parts of meat are typically used to make this dish, but chicken breast sounds great. I recommend to cut the chicken breast into smaller pieces. Then it won't taste tough. : )
Hello😊 thank you so much for this recipe! I have one question however, about the black bean sauce, is it certified as halal? Because i can't find any certification for it online :( i heard that the process of fermentation results in some type of alcohol forming in the sauce.. is that not the case with this specific sauce that you used ? Again, thank you so much for your time and efforts xo love from Morocco
Yes you can. If you add small amount of oyster sauce it'll taste more like a restaurant's version but you may omit it. Make sure to use fresh and nice ingredients and cook it enough time to make it more delicious!
hm good that they accomodate every needs, esp since korea and japan sort of most wanted visit destination ive eaten pork by accident, and threw up day after, maybe unlucky/unfit, same for liquors never good at it
You may try. But make sure the black soybean paste needs to be cooked. I recommend to cook in a medium heat and be careful not to burn onion and garlic!
Thank you for sharing halal jajangmyeon! Been wanting it for so long but so hard to find a good halal recipe. 😋
Thank you so much!!! I've really wanted to create this after watching all the korean dramas eating it! So great to get an alternative to try! 😊
If you stir fry the soy bean paste successfully, then it's really easily to make and most of all it's delicious! Thanks for the comment!
Haha that’s the exact reason why I’m here now 😀🤘🇬🇧
@@l3yfajamzThe reason why I am here to good thing we have 24/7 korean store to just grab some Jjajangmyeon 💕

Thank you so much for your content , i have a question , is it ok to use Chicken Breast instead of Chicken tigh ?
Fatty parts of meat are typically used to make this dish, but chicken breast sounds great. I recommend to cut the chicken breast into smaller pieces. Then it won't taste tough. : )

Hello. You can buy it at themurasakibox.com/products/halal-blackbean-paste-500g. It seems that it's sod out currently though.
Thank you MsJia ,
Damn you’re so thoughtful!
😋😋😋😋👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much for the halal way 😃
Looks delicious! Is there anything I can substitute the oyster sauce for?
You may add more soy sauce and sugar. Give it a taste and control it to your taste. : )
Can it be made without oyster sauce?
Yes you can. If you add small amount of oyster sauce it'll taste more like a restaurant's version but you may omit it. Make sure to use fresh and nice ingredients and cook it enough time to make it more delicious!
Thank u soo much, i want HALAL black beans paste ❤❤

This is halal so no worries! : )
🙇♂️ Thank you
can I start with the onion and garlic first? would you think it would drastically change the taste if i started with that first?
You may try. But make sure the black soybean paste needs to be cooked. I recommend to cook in a medium heat and be careful not to burn onion and garlic!
Thank you signora ♡
Could you use beef instead of chicken for the Halal Jajangmyeon?
Sure you can!
Thanks for sharing.. But may I know if the onions can be chopped smaller cubes? Or even blended.. Sorry for asking..
Sure. You may cut the onion as you like. It’s my pleasure to answer your question : )
As a muslim ❤you are perfect h
Omg finally 😭😭😭 i can eat halal one
How to make chunjang halal black bean paste from scratch we don't have that paste in our country @jiachoi
I've never tried to make the paste from the scratch. Can't you buy it at online stores?
In my country we dnt have any Korean store so kindly tell me any substitute of black soya bean sauce
Black soy bean paste(jja jang in Korean) is a must ingredient in this dish. Sorry that there's no substitute.
❤❤
Are you able to substitute the chicken for beef instead?
Of course, you can. Go ahead with beef! : )
I do have fresh garlic but can you use garlic granuels
Brilliant idea! Just make sure that garlic powder can be a bit stronger sometimes. Control the amount of it. : )
Is there any way to make black bean sauce at home because its not available in my country? 😢
Hi. I've never tried to make the sauce. Can't you buy online?
