My absolute favorite Song of Mgla, especially because of the Drums. To hear the Drums without the other instuments makes me even more adore this song.
The were a lot of reactions on the Music Video on YT saying that Darkside is an exceptional drummer. I wish those people would react to your cover now.

While you're absolutely correct, I think a turn off for some people might be that the video is always SLIGHTLY behind the audio and makes everything visually drag and it's hard to watch

Because it's hard to tune into such a specialization as a xylophonist. Here it was really close to the original. There were a few accents missing on the cymbals. But apart from that, this is the best cover of this song on the Internet so far.

Das ist tatsächlich sehr unterschiedlich, aber dieser Song speziell hat mich schon zwei Monate intensives üben (und viele Nerven) gekostet.

I'm not sure if this is a troll comment or a serious question.
It doesn't look sped up to me. Look at the cymbals how they move and also the camera slider movement is the same tempo throughout the entire song. If it were recorded slower and the video sped up, the cymbals would move unnaturally fast and also the side to side movement of the camera shots would be a lot faster.
If you're referring to the sometimes jerky body movement, that's what happens when a drummer plays at his limit.
