Cheapest Mini Cooper Performance Exhaust Upgrade // Under $100

- By far the cheapest upgrade you can make to your exhaust and really take up the performance of your Mini Cooper.
I do have plans on installing a hand built performance exhaust this week, but in the meantime I was curious to see what it would sound like and how much louder it would be if I cut off the muffler on my F56 Mini Cooper JCW.
For those who are interested, the exhaust diameter of an F56 Mini Cooper JCW is 70mm or 2.75" for those of you in the USA. The stock muffler weight is SUPER heavy coming in at a whooping 22lbs.
I would highly recommend going to a muffler shop if you cut of your Mini Cooper muffler and having them extend the exhaust pipe further back and extending beyond the bumper. If not, you'll get a very odd sound every once and awhile from the exhaust system, which I personally did not like.
As I mentioned in the video - this is by far the cheapest Mini Cooper "performance" exhaust upgrade you can get, so if you want to save a bunch of money, cut off your old tired muffler! 😬🤘🏼

@Michael Bertini Hey man, Michael I really dig your channel! I been consuming everything I can MINI related and your content is awesome. (And Miguel is cool, a great co-pilot BTW) I recently picked up a Thunder Grey Metallic 2021 MINI Cooper S, 7 sp. dual clutch transmixer. Anyway, I had listened to so many performance exhaust vids here that me ears drums were bleeding. And none of them impressed me sound wise, until you explaining your logic (future upgrade planned) and hearing this rear muffler delete mod. I loved it. You kept the resonator on to prevent drone and man, it sounds just right to me! I just pulled the trigger, went to my local muffler shop and removed (and saved) the rear muffler (or some call it the Back Box) and had the Exhaust shop weld on a straight pipe with twin flat black tips. My car sounds amazing now! Looks cooler too with the 3.5 " flat black tips. Michael I just wanted to thank you so much for posting this video! It was perfect timing for me. Now my MINI has a voice! Thanks again and please stay healthy, happy, and my best wishes to Miguel, and your fam!

What up, bud! For the turbo you'll have to wait for that video 😉 but the exhaust is 3" all the way through with a 3" resonator and the downpipes is 2.75" but will also be 3" when I do the big turbo. 😬🤘🏼
@@MichaelBertini lol I can dig it! I did a 70mm complete exhaust. Thing is, I was told by JTMC if I'm going BIGGER that 3in is needed. However I'm hearing/seeing from others that a 70mm will work. Will you cover this in detail in vid (please) 😁
@@ap3stax Yup, the big turbo information is on the way. I'm just trying to cover all the finer details, because their is a lot of misconceptions that I'm finding out after speaking with different tuners are the world and brands. Stay tuned in though and all that I'm going to cover. 😬🤘🏼
What exhaust did you order? I have an Agency power titanium resonated and valved exhaust. My entire exhaust from the downpipe back is lighter @19lbs than the stock muffler.

@@MichaelBertini 2.5” i.d. W/ 3” tips. I plan on doing a resonator delete to free up the flow a little more and deepen the tone some.
