Governments policy on prohibitation of culling wildlife population favours the upper echelon of the society. Its direct negative effect is seen in the large track of agricultural land going fallow, fallow in the rural region of the country . It's indirect effect are rural urban migration, widening gap in income between rich and poor, unemployment etc. Those policy makers on the swiveling chairs, who take the crop damage by animals very lightly, should be given opportunity to experience working in the field with farmers, in rain and shine...just for a week, then they will realise how much effort goes into production of single piece of chilli.
