Many have asked how Shay is doing and last I talked to her she is doing amazing!
To me, "doing amazing" means she is no longer homeless. Is that the case?
Hello World!!! Omg I am literally shaking right now. I am reading the comments and the amount of love, I am receiving is unbelievable. It feels so good, i am crying happy tears. I pray that my story reminds you all of how blessed we are. Going through this truly reminds me that health is wealth. Self love is the best love and if God is for you. Who can be against you. Thank you for the cashapps and kind words. Im one step closer 😊 ro be continued....
U have zelle? Crazy you see the comments already. Wanted to let u know I'm so glad u got awakened. I really hope u get everything!

@Doing My Time I already have one stay tuned...
Thank you for sharing your story. In many ways I can relate. I have been homeless with my first set of children (my eldest 3 due to DV and Family Violence), so I know that feeling all to well. But I also relate to the pain you spoke of and that's real talk right there. I pray Thee Most High GOD keeps you safe and sound in mind. I pray HIS Angels watch over you without ceasing. I also pray that Thee Most High GOD opens doors for you that NO ONE can close. Keep your head up Sis. Your blessings are on the way. Much love and hugs to you.
@Christine Coleman Amen Thank you, that means a lot. To be honest, that is what I am looking for a door to be opened. Because I am able bodied.
The fact that our country allows this to happen so easily is a disgrace
It's what you all vote for.
@@RobertRayDmv some do, most others don't. In all reality it is lobbying (also known as bribing of politicians by rich people), and bipartisan conflict that keeps this stuff from being fixed. Most people in our country want things that never get passed due to this stuff.
They caused it in the first place, loading millions more in annually to your population with out so much of a thought of the devastation it causes, yet they continue down the same path making things worse each year, globalisation at its finest
and American government is 31 trillion in debt.... what did they spend on when poverty is only increasing, infrastructure falling apart and social services diminishing....
Immigrants are staying in a 5 star hotel in NYC...all included free!!!...go figure.
I live in my car with my 4year old son. We recently hit our one year mark. We started this journey to escape his abusive father. After losing everything, I’m finally rebuilding and it feels AMAZING! We’ll be upgrading to a camper soon but I refuse to go back to apartment living now.
I'm so sorry.I pray that your situation gets better soon. 🙏🏾❤ 😞
girl I support you and good luck may Yah mercy on you and bless you.
Parking a camper will be a huge issue.
That's understandable.
@@SimplyMe392 You're thinking of those huge campers, but there are small camper, about the size of a U-haul box truck or even smaller, like a sprinter van. Anyone could drive those.
Im working and homeless myself. Living out of my car. I had two job offers rescinded at the last moment. I used a recruiter on the one job and an employment agency on the other. I will never trust anybody again to get me a job. Lost 7 weeks of income and now Im working a job that just slashed my hours from full to barely 17 per week. All it takes is a combination of things and you are screwed.

@@trapsarentgay4195 So am I, but that doesn't make my statement false.
Getting??? 🙄
As a daughter of Italian immigrants, I value and commend the Italian tradition that any unmarried child live at home until they marry. It seems the "American" way is 18 and out. I personally had relatives whose children never married but lived in the homestead until and after parents died. One has to wonder if many of the homeless have parents who could take them in but won't. How thankful I am that I was a product of this Italian tradition having lived at home until marriage at 32.
Entire rest of world except so called developed world family always live together.
People are brainwashed with that 18 and out so that the owners of this country have more ability to oppress us
Same for us in most of Africa. You stay home until you are married, even for thr men, except you voluntarily leave, but always welcome whenever you hit some rocks. This Western 'culture' is actually more destructive. Besides Back home with a little consistency, you can save a build your self a little home within just few years of working, and be free of any mortgage shit. We don't even do that. We own our homes 100%
Low income homes particularly aren't always good environments to be able to stay home especially if there's limited to no space, there's chaos in the home, negativity and sadness or the home was never stable in the 1st place. However as things are getting more expensive I suspect things like that will change out of necessity.
❤❤❤
My wife and I both work, live in our truck and bathe at local gyms. This is like what we're going through only I'm in Texas. Things will get better ❤
Glad to know I’m not the only person in Texas that feels this way

I chose to live in my car when my rent went up by $500. I was like, I’m not even about to play with y’all! 😂 it’s not for everyone…but it was the best decision I’ve made thus far! ❤
You still In Your car??
stuff really is getting expensive. i do stay lowkey bc lifes tough. i did kind of choose to be homeless. but i wanted my savings to be higher. i guess thats y it mightv e took longer for me to be placed somewhere, idk. but ppl telling me others having it rough, living in their cars is like 😑 i mean, they could be drug addicts too tho. and thats not fair. just bc i stayed at the shelter, as soon as it was time to let out, or for me to wake up from a shift/s,... u dont think i didnt want to be free too? but free for us also meant staying in my hot car.. my poor munchkin. shes prob so used to that car seat. but thankfully shes so little she wont remember anything. she was always more cooled down than me tho. i always had a usb charged fan l hanging from the handle of her car seat .she hated our apts first 2 days tho. i think it scared her. lol, till maybe she found out her voice echoes in here... & started realizing all our stuff is here. had to continuously give her tours. anyways, always running into ppl... im sure the haters loved i was strugglin. for the ones more distant, i guess stay hating. bc if only they could see me now, not. for the ppl i actually hafta be in contact with, i boast myself up some. lol didnt see me coming huh. like yeah finally made it to xyz in my savings. annnnd i got out the hood. idk man, the gov done put me up in the suburbs. its like out in the middle of nowhere tho. been praying to get out the freakin hood! heh the ish i tell my co workers tho... also, im not worried about car payments. id rather get 2 hooptys & focus on buying a house land or something. when i talked to my case worker, she was like wow. i dont think anyone here has ever asked me about those type of housing opportunities. & my banking stuff is renewed. . anyways, i got it bc i worked for it. "now leave me alone" also also at least Now ... i know some of more resources out here
I lived in a one bedroom apartment and was recovering from getting hit by a commercial truck and during the entire time of me going through treatment I was harassed and bullied by my full grown male neighbor and it was a daily him beating on the walls, slamming the bathroom cabinets and slamming the toilet seat at all hours. I complained to management but I never heard back on anything. I was told by my male manager that there was nothing he could do. After my treatment and getting better I chose to never live next door to anyone and I'm happily and peaceful living in my vehicle while working full time it has been 3 weeks now and I think that with God by my side all things are possible. So happy to be away from the noise!
It wasn't my choice at first, but hotels take all your money so quickly.
I lived for two months in my car after getting fired and evicted during COVID. There was no place to use a restroom or shower. There was nothing open. I admit to stealing food.
Two biggest things: being one check away AND not having support. How many times have we seen where people didn’t have money BUT they had family who took them in and helped them through those low points? Struggling financially is one thing but when you DON’T have support, that’s when it all falls apart. We can all take a moment to look at ourselves and ask could we be more supportive to those around us.
Yes, you got my message. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for your great comment. I agree 100%.
I was blessed to have a loving an supportive family at my lowest time.
This lady has no family support and my heart goes out to her. She has such a beautiful spirit and I pray she gets a place to live soon. The way she is navigating life in her car is commendable.
I am concerned about her being a woman out in the elements and her safety
Yup, not everybody has that!!
So true support is golden we all fall through hard times
It's almost like this country has collapsed on a moral level. I wonder why that is... OH WELL. SMOKE WEED, HAVE CHILDREN OUT OF WEDLOCK, AND CRY FOR ATTENTION. It's the post-modern female way.
People say homeless are lazy, but here we are working and living in cars. What most don't understand is that if the vehicle breaks down on these people they lose their so called home and then have to live in the streets, then lose their jobs because they are dirty from no showers, they get their id's stolen, they have no address so they can't get a new job. This is why we have so many homeless.
This comment needs to be pinned you hit it on the nail. I'm so serious. Nobody thinking about that. It is a absolute fight because there are so many factors. Thank you for understanding 😊
Lazy people make excuses without a solution. Being a grown up is about independence -- not needy nor self-entitled. Stop trying to get sympathy from others and focus on your dreams. What do you really want out of life? Get cleaned and get a job being productive. Life is good when you stop the pity party and truly embrace helping others rather than expecting society to help you.
@@christinehoppingAnd it’s people with your mentality that tend to look down on others because of your entitlement. It’s to come out the mouth and say people are making excuses when you’ve had a golden spoon in your mouth. Stfu and don’t speak on a life you know nothing about!
To be fair, when most people think of homeless people, they aren't thinking of actual homeless people. They are thinking of crackheads and drug addicts. No one thinks a person who is homeless due to a loss of job is lazy. The problem is the crackheads and drug addicts make ALL homelessness look bad. The crackheads are the only homeless people we see, not the homeless people who actually are sane minded and hard workers. Those people are usually taking advantage of all of the city's benefits, following rules, and getting back on their feet.
I have a coworker who makes the same amount as I do, but she's homeless. I offered to let her stay in my room, but she wants to rent in an area that's not in the budget, so she opted live in her car and goes around getting sympathy. Having a pity party is only leaving you stuck in life.
I used to live in my vehicle and it does break you down mentally but I was blessed to still have a job and I worked my way to a two half bathroom and three bedroom house. Just keep faith and keep working towards your dream
That’s God’s work 🙏🏾
There are also homeless people who are college graduates in Japan who can’t even get a job.
damn. i’m a spoiled brat. these videos hurt me cuz no one deserves to have to try so hard to survive, but y’all remind me that i’ve been given a lot by my mother and the world. i gotta start giving back in a more consistent way, for real.

Mh heart goes out to this lady. We can send billions of dollars to foreign countries, yet our people are suffering. Basically, she’s asking for affordable housing, not a handout. You can tell she learned from her mistakes, and is a hard worker
How about she getting a wage she could live off? Plenty of money in the system, it's just that the rich keep most of it and then blame the poor for their predicament.
😢
You really don't send billions to other countries though...you send loads to oversees aid which are totally corrupt and to oversees war which all goes to private hands not the people who need it. You also give billions to wealthy people like elon musk and amazon and big oil companies.... do not believe that youre helping the poor in other countries ..America does more damage and sure they send money to corrupt government to buy priveledge there but you're not helping the poor. Youre helping yourselves. As that is all that drives them. Dont forget you also get a lot from other countries. And Cúba gave you medicine during covid and you havent even paid for that. So im sorry whoever told you that they are handing out money to the poor foreigner ...thats yet another lie. You need to eexcercise your amendment right to overthrow your corrupt government.
Yes so true 😢😢
Let me add: billions of dollars get actually wasted to corporate America, tax cuts for the Rich, often investing in Real estate ("with housing not affordable to people like this lady,) jobs that don't pay enough, just to start. So, don't even go to help that is being sent to other Nations who often are so needy bc of Industrialized countries!! Look, really look before you look at spending funds outside of the US!!
That was me. I fell behind on rent and lost my place. I slept in my car for 2 months. I kept my mind on God but I too thought about ending it. I finally found 2 jobs and got a place.

Why bother to work if you live in your car? Sounds horrible. The US is a horrible country to live in.
I lived in my van for six months once. I stayed in a truck stop parking lot and got a gym membership. I was able to work out and shower for only $20 a month. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Nothing wrong with saving up some money to get back on your feet.

I believe a big part of the homeless issue in America is due to Americans normalization of kicking their children out at 18yrs old. Having to pay an entire rent and bills almost immediately after high school is ridiculous. Staying at home and being able to save is the best thing a young person can do for themselves. My mom took $100 of the $600 in rent I gave her and put $100 aside. When I finally moved out, she gave me an envelope with $9,600 and a 2nd envelope with $1000 from her and my dad as a farewell gift as i was finally leaving home.❤
Wow. Cool 😎 story.
Agree. 18 is not a good age to throw young men and women out without allowing them to work and save up money
That’s a part of it but the biggest issue is unaffordable housing. In the city I live in they build nothing but expensive luxury apartments and big expensive houses. Nothing is affordable anymore. So you have people stuck in the middle who make too much money for housing assistance but not enough to afford rent so they wind up living in a car.
@@Carolyn-vh4nz Yea the times are changing but wages are staying the same and that’s the problem. You shouldn’t need to get creative just to find somewhere to live. It’s one of the most basic necessities, shelter. And it’s absolutely insane how convoluted the whole process has gotten.
And thanks to greed and the government’s unwillingness to step in and stop these greedy people, it has gotten this bad. And I see no better future with these legislators in power.
If you work a full time job, you should be able to afford all your basic needs. But it’s not the case for millions of Americans.
@@Carolyn-vh4nz The world doesn’t work like that because we have let greed take control. Things were not this bad even just 10 years ago. But during the pandemic people went into debt, lost their jobs/homes and the rich got richer by price gouging the necessities.
This is not the way people should have to live. And our government could 100% step in and fix things but thanks to lobbyists it’s not going to happen. But regardless, people working full time jobs shouldn’t have to rely on other people just to survive and have a roof over their head. That’s absolutely ridiculous and it’s crazy that you seem to accept this reality. We need to vote in younger people who understand the struggle and kick out all the old people who grew up when the American dream was still a thing.

It’s an absolute DISGRACE that US citizens are living in their cars and working while illegal immigrants are being put up in hotels and receiving all kinds of benefits!!!!
I'm not against anyone getting help when they need it but our government should absolutely not be ignoring the homeless problem that we have that includes American citizens. When you ignore or don't try to help your own that's terrible. They are always talking about removing the homeless camps not about making sure these people have a safe place. This situation can happen to anyone living paycheck to paycheck, losing a good job, getting sick, paying hospital bills, no rent control, death of the main bread winner, everything going up except your paycheck, bad decisions, so many things or situations can happen. If we can find so many millions to help immigrants we should also be finding millions to help our citizens that are in need. That would create a better living experience for all of us, not just the people in need. How do we fix this problem, do we write to our policy makers in abundance, do we vote for those sympathetic to our homeless. How do the people running our government look at the homeless encampments and not see this situation as an emergency? Therefore by the grace of God go I. Even if you are not religious you can apply that saying to your life. Have compassion, you never know when or if you may need it.💛
Say it bro, it's a disgrace
💯 facts somethings not right and people getting free assistance and never try ro better themselves sad but true.
Same thing is happening in Canada too
The Central American and Mexican "immigrants" are moving around their ancestral land looking for a better opportunity, that's their right. Everyone else came to their continent by invasion, and now they're slowly getting their place back with nice hotels and other benefits.
Working in real estate opened my eyes to so much that I almost lost my mind. When I tell you they could house people in many of these properties that are vacant for years on end. Then to see the amount of realtors that were homeless living out of their cars, hotels, sleeping from couch to couch, listing to listing (squatting in vacant properties)blew my mind. How are people selling other people homes but still can not afford to own or rent a home of their own? Then you also realize that you will NEVER own a thing in this so called country. I watched elderly people who’s homes had been paid off for longer than I have been alive, losing their homes due to unpaid property taxes. They were unable to work because of course they were OLD and would be on the verge of losing their home of would lose it completely. I can go on and on. I gave up completely after what I witnessed and experienced. I looked at everything as the huge scam that it is. Still battling severe depression because of the toll that it took on my mental health.
I completely agree with you. Truly a sick and wicked country. There is no American dream, it’s all fake in this temporary life we live.
Damn, this is deep! Praying for your mental health. ❤
Yes this country needs to cover mental health services as they do any physical ailment. Thank you for sharing your unique perspective.
Usually I wouldn’t read such a long post but you had me hanging on to every word. This is all so true and it’s interesting to know from this angle too how much of a scam this all is…smh.

I've lived in my car for 6-7 maybe 8 or 9 months while working full time. saved TONS of money. I would shower everyday at 24 hr fitness before work. I rent now, and it just sucks that my rent is not going towards property/savings/retirement/investments :(
All LOVE for her!! This country is a disgrace!! Keep pushing! God’s going to take care of us ❤
2 things that will happen to anyone who lives on the streets even if you live in your car homeless, I speak from experience, you will get some form of PTSD, living on the streets you never truly feel safe, you're always in a state of hyper vigilance and that will bring on a host of other mental illness, it's no joke living on the streets, things most people take for granted, cooking food, shower , personal toilet, the ability to lock your home/ apartment at night and feel truly safe sleeping cannot be overstated
Amen thank you for understanding 🙏

Agreed. I finally got an apartment after three years of living in vehicles. Now I have to move out of my rental. The jobs that pay decent in this area won’t hire me. The jobs that will hire me don’t pay a livable wage so I am moving on. It’s been hard to cope mentally. I really don’t want to give up my rental. Now I know what it’s like living in a cramped space and being harassed by law enforcement for living in poverty. It’s hard to go back to that. I am running out of saving to stay though so it’s time to move on and the lower pay jobs and gig work aren’t enough income to keep a home.
@@_Rockill_ that's a really big issue that is not talked about happening to a lot of people especially along the east and west coasts of America, job wages tho higher then 10 years ago, are nowhere near the cost of living expenses, and many people are being forced into 2 choices live in your car, or find a state that is cheaper in the middle of the country, to live in, and still hope for a job that pays better then average for your area you live in
I feel angry that the American government does not offer these people who are so obviously doing their best, something. At least give them a safe parking place, with toilets, showers & a communal hygenic kitchen & food storage place for a nominal cost. Or make available some well designed & built flats, for prices that relate to the local wages

That was one of the best sleeps of my life! 💯
So I thought to myself, if I give up my $1800 a month apartment, donate 90 % of my stuff to salvation army, and got a $150 a month storage for the rest of my belongings, and utilize my $40 a month L.A. Fitness gym membership for showers, I could save about $1600 a month plus.
So that's what I did, and I've never felt so free! I'm happy to be rid of all that STUFF, and living a minamilist lifestyle.
Yo!
Get rid of all that STUFF, and you'll find PEACE. 💯
Brother, I did the same things couple of years ago! I too felt free! Had the best sleep in the back of my car (Hyundai Sonata). I paid for storage and used the gym for showering. Every now and then, I'd stay in a hotel/motel as a treat. I was able to stack up money for when I eventually moved into an apartment. But, then I missed living on my car! People at work felt sorry for me....a lot of them couldn't believe it because I didn't "look" homeless. I am considering a tiny home now. Peace and blessings to you!
Respect to both of u I am thinking of living the nomadic life to save for a house but just don't know if I can do it thanks for your positivity and your story
She's smart. She's a survivor. She has a compelling story to tell and worth listening to and as my Momma use to say, "God ain't done with her yet."♥♥♥

I'm so glad I came across this channel. I lived in my car from March 18th 2018 to May 2020 I made it work and I was 350 lb lost it all thank God but I would have been more comfortable in a Ford focus if I wasn't hundreds of pounds. But everything she says relates to what I did to. As a matter of fact when she said I sleep better in the car than a bed I left because the first week I have my apartment I actually went down to my car and slept because I couldn't sleep. I have planet fitness I stayed different places but you notice other people live in their car too. And when covid hit I couldn't even take a shower or anything anymore so I got a tarp I go out in the woods and by the way I'm in Florida swamps Gators put a piece of plastic down with a couple of gallons of water a bath. Have a great big family nobody would help because they said I left my husband because I was mentally unfit and I needed to go back home my daughter had been missing for 4 months I had a nervous breakdown I have PTSD but they don't believe in none of that my daughter is safe she's doing great and I'm glad I did at the end of staying in my car it was so hard. So I'm moving my apartment May 7th I'd been on the waiting list for 8 months 2 days after I move in they call and tell me I had to move out because they weren't supposed to let me move in because of covid and I told him they would have to take me to court so they redid my lease and says I moved on June 27th which is crazy but I just. Just wanted to share part of my story. And I wouldn't get a hotel either every other month I might but I worked so much all I had to do was sleep and get right back up I worked for hard Rock casino they fed us breakfast lunch and dinner so that helped. Lebanon Florida you got to make that money mine when I started with 900 for rent I'm now at since May 2020 it's getting to where you can't afford to live but I tell you the first damn thing I pay is my rent cuz I sold my car I can't afford insurance so if I lose this place EFT in the end I have my first month last month deposit and enough money to finish my entire house because I moved in here with a duffel bag I lost everything when I left my husband the only thing I took with me were my photo albums
I’m so sorry this happened to you. I am so glad you were able to get an apartment. Hopefully, you can earn more soon to save some money & maybe purchase a small home one day. Lord willing! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
If this video doesn't humble you, I don't know what will. Young lady has a smile on her face and is full of love and working well in a situation many of us would find devastating or demoralizing to our mentality. Despite what she's been through, she's extremely strong and a good worker. Please, please, please support people like this. Individuals like this deserve so much in life based on their work ethic and character. I applaud her and this channel for sharing her story. This touched me and made me understand that your mindset is really what determines your appraisal of life.

I was homeless and went through fostercare and lived a nightmare. In 2007 when I was 19 I met my biological father whilst homeless. He was living in the Brittany Lakes subdivision of League City, Texas... a beautiful house with a Russian mail order bride. Meeting him was the most sadistic and predatory experience of my life. And here we are in 2023 and I'm not homeless, but all of a sudden homelessness is EVERYWHERE... there was a huge stigma of judgment on me, but, I had no family at all. What was I supposed to do after high school? Life is rough. Now I am seeing people that made fun of me in school are all over facebook begging for money & homeless and have kids they cant afford. These were the rich kids that were always calling me T R A S H!
Bingo..kids they cant afford I dont understand it. U can still enjoy sex without producing a child every time. People come on take some responsability
you obviously didn't spend a lot of time in foster care you'd be more humble. read your last part of your paragraph very carefully.
@@thegreatapple9616 I spent my entire developmental years there. I don't have to be your definition of humble, you're just upset because you most likely made fun of kids for being poor, and now you're poor.
@@richardflorida9610 Agreed, thank you for your comment. Some people don't understand what it's like to be made fun of by others who feel they are better than you, and they have more than you. They always make you feel so little, so insignificant.
@@bratzboyz yeah it happened to me a lot and I am sorry it happened to you. But its a wild thing to see all of the star athletes and cheerleaders impoverished these days via facebook. All of the rich kids that had flip phones, and a car at 16, dressed in the best clothes. Now they're not fake tan, they don't have nice clothes, many don't have a car, and their pictures on facebook reflect poverty. Believe me, I never would have guessed it would have happened. But it did. I didn't laugh about it, but, I felt better knowing that anyone can be touched.
I was homeless on the streets for almost 5 years. A very traumatic experience for me. I even tried working full-time jobs, despite being disabled.
Wow SubhanAllah may Allah make it easier on you 🙏🏾❤️

@@lindahudson8694 You're in my prayers. It's so hard. I'm sorry for your loss.
It’s so hard. I stayed in winter of 2020 in the Midwest. I worked at a call center and bed bath beyond while living in my sedan. Once it got to Dec. - Feb. were unbearable. I layer wool and blankets but it was miserable. I have no heat in my car and the 12v electric blanket would run the battery down. I got a buddy heater but was so afraid of carbon monoxide or it being a fire hazard I never used it. It was so difficult to get up in the morning and get ready for work in freezing temperatures and go in and try to pretend like everything is normal. I ended up leaving the call center because they weren’t happy with my less than robotic productivity and I got let go of Bed Bath Beyond for being late. I was seeing a social worker for mental health counseling at the time and ended up moving south to a warmer climate and worked as a cook until the pandemic shut down the state. One of the worst things was brushing my teeth in freezing temperatures and the pain in my gums from the ice cold water. People that never experienced living without a roof over their head laughed and couldn’t understand how a normal everyday task could be so difficult.

I feel for this lady, but she has the right idea of a minimalist life style, we don’t really need much to live, but to live comfortably is different. Props to her for seeing the gift God gave her
Never pass judgement on people unless you have walked what a mile in the shoe 👟
She just kept saying hygiene, cleanliness & mental health and I’m like OMG…that is so me. ❤That would be at the top of my list too😢😢😢.
This was on time, just today I was deciding that I had enough and was looking to check out 😞 as she said the pain of being alone, fighting the system and not having a support system is a heavy burden for anyone to handle, if I can say one thing to anyone and everyone! Remember: love compassion and kindness costs nothing 🕊️
Amen remember cast your cares to God open your heart and watch him move in your life. You are here for a reason. Thank you God for our lives ❤
@ Juan. You are not all. I feel your pain , loneliness and isolation....
I am grateful you ran across this video.

I know those feelings many many times. Empathy compassion kindness for yourself and others, we never know what someone is struggling with yet so many judge. Life is a heavy burden for so many in so many different ways. When I feel low which is often because I'm very ill I think someone somewhere and in fact many died today but I didn't. Suffering brings a peace because you stop worrying you might suffer all your fear goes away. I hope the afterlife is all its cracked up to be when that time does come. But for now, you've got this!! !!✋✊✌

I say it everyday. It doesn't cost a thing to be kind.
I worked and lived with my parents until age 29; grew up on welfare. I saved most of it and had an opportunity to buy a small condo when the housing market crashed in 2010. Paid off the condo in 2015, and now living rent free waiting to retire early.
I don't know her, but I am proud of her. God bless her and everyone.
I been there when I was 30. I spent my 30th birthday homeless living in my car. But I was hopeful and grateful for that car. I remember sleeping outside the nursing home my mom was in. When I woke up I would always see 2 stars on the sky. I don’t know what that meant but every morning I’d look for those stars😢 then I would go to McDonald’s to use the restroom to get ready for work. It’s amazing how strong we are. Prayers to this Ladies. I love her personality. God got you❤

Thank you for sharing your lifestyle here! It is packed with tips on making living in a car work; minimalist style. You are definitely not alone. Many hard working people around the world are experiencing homelessness. People are being forced out of mainstream society into alternate styles of living; new norm. It's more difficult to mentally transition to an alternative living style when it's not by choice. Love, love, love you learned and actively apply the most basic recognition and practice of self care first! Sending positive vibes!
I so feel her pain. I'm thankful she now knows her strength and has become so resourceful. Since I've been in AZ I've been dealing with so much with no support and became so angry, I felt I was being punished and didn't understand why since I'm not a bad person. I will keep her in my prayers.

Most Americans are living one check away from being homeless I was just talking to my sister about this yesterday. She didn’t realize that there are so many people living in their car even prior to the pandemic happening. I think the key for her is going to be to make different decisions, and instead of taking several low-paying jobs, and aim for one higher paying job. And for that she’s either going to need to go back to formal school or get some type of trade or certification. I grew up with a drug addict mother, moving around, homeless off and on and then became a teenage mom. I eventually graduated from college, found a better job, and became a homeowner. I feel like if I can do it ANYBODY can do it! Just gotta put your head down and get to work! 💪🏾 it’s going to be hard you’re going to want to quit, you’re going to wonder if the sacrifices are worth it but it will be. I went from food stamps, homeless, and section 8 to flying out of the country. God is so good! 🙏🏾
As an homeowner I can say that in some states even if you make a higher wage or decent salary, homes are really not affordable. Affordable housing will be the solution. Many people are choosing to purchase tiny homes and even then some states will not have enough land or allow permits to build tiny homes.
Another thing to is networking, unfortunately in some situations is not what you know is who you know as well. I agree with you about going back to school and trade school, but making connections can be a big help as well as
Can't go back to school while you're homeless you have to pay your daily expenses. This is the issue that hurts so many people. People just say oh you need a higher paying single job so go get some schooling or training but it's like.... how. How that gonna work on top of paying gas and food that money doesn't come from no where. The whole point is she is one check away. She cannot afford to go to school and stop her currents jobs. There is no safety net.
@@RR-kz4hq thank you, you saved me from point out the obvious.
no money? oh just use all that no money to spend a bunch of money on tuition. like they literally have a disconnect because they are so use to having money and therefore options.
so in their head they dont realize they are asking poor people to spend a lot of money to improve themselves. poor people dont have money therefore there is no economic mobility but these people spread that lie and tell themselves they just worked harder or took it more serious when they got lucky and that's it.
Sometimes work isn’t the issue; it is emotional abuse, neglect, or even addiction that causes people not to want better or do better for themselves. Some people have never been taught adequate social and or emotional skills to be able to see things through to the finish. Some people have mental issues and other just can’t cope with ongoing responsibilities. Some people thrive upon living on the edge of disaster because it gives them an adrenaline boost to for a little while then when it becomes required for them to stay committed, they self- sabotage themselves and are back to square one, always starting over for that adrenaline rush. I am praying for you. Jesus loves you❤
❤❤❤God has definitely kept you I pray 🙏🏾 the most will forever be in your presence
I've been there homeless in my Pontiac G6 with my 2 daughters one disabled with epilepsy and me having a frozen hip on disability and my other daughter working we struggled hard to get where we are now! The most hardest was sanity and the rules of where to park and predator's! I still can't rap my mind around how our country will help illegal migrants and not the ppl of this country its disgusting and appalling! You are a amazing strong woman! You keep GOING! blessings to you ma'am! 🙏🫂
I think this lack of compassion for our own citizens is going to be what unites our country to force lawmakers to do something. It's a red and blue problem with lack of concern for the growing homeless population.
Your leaders only care for outsiders they have to give them something to vote for them, Americans are collateral damage
This country still helping illegal immigrants free healthcare free housing and free loans to start a business and this hurts me this country has destroyed itself from the inside out cause of greedy politicians.everybody stay focus ❤

Been in my car since covid. I work nearly everyday. I get up every morning around 430 go to the gym and lift and shower then head to work. I'm not even close to being able to afford a home or anything like that so it looks like this will continue for me for years to come unless something drastic happens. I just look at the bright side. I'm in great health, I have a roof (even though its a car) and I make money. It could be better but it could be a lot worse.
Don’t pay your rent or mortgage… U will see how real life will get…Wishing this sister the best… hope things turn around for her..!!!

No way hollywood
this is real. Word of advice, avoid extra tinting on the windows. Keep it street legal. Cops love to use over tinted windows as easy probably cause (even if they're not), especially for POC.
Instead buy window meshes that stick to the glass. That way it doesn't constitute as tinting, you can still get some privacy, and if you need it darker you can drape a cloth over it for extra concealment.
And please please please buy a wheel lock!
They find a reason to pull u over

Her story about how God stopped her from taking her life brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. I pray nothing but victory for her. It infuriates me that anyone has to go through this but she is handling it with excellence
When I tell you I broke down when she said I come here everyday to get a hug! Lord! I know the feeling.
