- This one is long overdue...we're at The City Cafe in Edinburgh today, doing battle with their 'Ultimate Burger Challenge'...
Now this thing has been around, in one form or another for over a decade, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to get around to attempting it, but you know what they say; better late than never...
Diners get 45 minutes in which to finish a huge burger filled with beef patties, chicken breast, bean patties, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles etc. as well as a basket of chips and a pot of coleslaw. If successful you get the £28 meal FREE plus a winner's sweatshirt!

CZcams's such a rabbit hole. I never imagined after 20 years of watching CZcams, some of my favorite videos would be of a guy eating absurd amounts of food! But I love it. Such a chill vibe. Probably one of the few channels I come to youtube on purpose because I know when the videos are released. I've binged probably half of your channel over the past 3 weeks, when I got recommended one of your videos.

This must have been filmed months ago. They broke up. Beard admitted himself he's been a naughty boy on his podcast. Lindsey even said in the comments on her IG post that she has no idea where he is and when asked if the wedding was coming up she said "No". They spent Christmas apart and she spent her birthday with her friends and family. No mention of him.

He’s gone to the U.S. quite a lot but how about Europe, Asia, or Australia? Randy and Katina have done much more traveling but are much less watchable. I’d love to see Beard in those places - it’s his great personality that makes his videos so good.

Wouldn't be a week ending off on the right foot without a new BeardMeatsFood video. Grant it I'm about 5 days too late, but this is always such a great way to begin the weekend. Not only a new video but another appearance from the one and only, Mrs. Beard. The cleanup portion better be on point or she will let you know for sure lol. This entire challenge looked incredible. The burger looked delicious, and then the cheesecake at the end just was a thing of beauty - two of my favorite things for sure. Seeing this reminds me of my grandma she had her own restaurant and, served a giant burger challenge too. Sadly she passed in 05 i sure miss those days.

the city caf was indeed a favourite with the ravers back in the day. its a pretty relaxed sort of place
I sometimes make a bigger burger when we are having a kids party. It’s basically around 2 kg of minced meat and 500 grams of smoked bacon with some onions and peppers turned into a giant patty in a Turkish bread. But it’s supposed to be shared.
He said 45 minutes first, and it also says 45 minutes on the menu. You sure they didn't google you and decide to take 10 min off? xD

Wow many many years ago when I was student in Edinburgh this was the place that was always open late to get some food to soak up some of the booze.. It really hadn't changed.. I might pop in next time I'm up for the nostalgia.. And yes it was the 90s and it was rammed at 11:30 on a school night in those days.

If you’re ever in Saint Louis, Missouri we have a pretty badass food challenge at Crown Candy I believe it’s 5 milkshakes in under a certain time limit. The milkshakes are served in the original metal canister they mix them in! I think you could do it! Would be awesome to see!!

I knew exactly where you were when I saw St. Giles. Love Edinburgh! I'm from Canada, but when I did a Fringe festival show in that city, I went to City cafe every morning for a Scottish breakfast. Hostel was right around the corner. You brought back amazing memories.
Hot gravy (brown sauce) on cold creamy coleslaw...is a secret level of food heaven. I fought it for a couple of years...until I tried it...and immediately regretted not changing my mind sooner.

Really like the City Cafe although not been in there in a while. They used to do a cracking Scottish breakfast. I've toyed with the idea of trying the Ultimate Burger challenge but now I've seen this I don't think I'd make a dent in it 😂

The City Caff (as we always called it) was definitely something of a hot spot in the 90s. It's a bigger venue than it looks - there's another floor below the one you were on. Happy memories.

I’d love for you to start a food review channel !!!! That is what sets you apart from the other food challenge channels it’s your interaction with your audience, for sure you could get a lot quicker times but it’s the interaction with the restaurants staff/owners and customers that make your channel the best to watch.
