I've been playing this game since I was 10, now I'm 31 and still playing, I love it.

Lionheart is still my all time favorite limit break, and I'll never forget wasting an hour trying to get The End to trigger on some field monsters.
I remember that trick where you opened the playstation cd lid during her limit break and you could take your time looking for The End.
The fact that Rinoa jumps on her dogs back and beats the crap out of the enemy is absofuckinglutely amazing.
What about her shooting the dog out of a small crossbow on her wrist lol.
Personally, I simply, can't play with that character, Something sorta botthers me about her look..
Well yes, but can we also talk about how Rinoa - attaches a dog - on a crossbow device on her arm - SHOOTS IT - DOG FUCKING EXPLODES - IT BACKFLIPS BACK TO RINOA - THEN RINOA CASUALLY REWARDS DOG WITH COOKIE. I LOVE IT.

It’s so hilarious and it’s like her Dog is godly being or godly powers, he is the strongest Dog in the universe 😂😂😂 FFVIII always had that cartoonish goofy fantasy look, but this is ridiculous and I love it 😂😂
Edea looks so cool, I really wished we could have kept her as a teammate.

Her design is so much better than Ultimecia who looks like Nagai Go villain.
They could have improved her Limit Break, Sorcery, to evolve elemental magics, like Lulu's Fury. Like Firestrike, Waterstrike, etc, and then further by allowing to hit multiple times/ enemies, like Renzokuken. And a special finisher.

Seifer in the other hand, had a very badass limit breaks. So cool and powerful
Quistis's degenrator and shockwave pulsar breaking the damage's limit, And Selphie's the end and rapture are too good to believe they exist as limit breaks lol. I was always fascinated by them
This FF has really a good limit breaks for all the character and maybe one of the best in ff series

Selphie: Imma roll the dice a BUNCH of times until I get something good.
Quistis: Well...I'm uh, gonna spit missiles out of my mouth, webs, electricity, uh, some really bad breath, oh also casually erasing enemies from existence is something i can do....

Selphie's "The End" is my all time favorite limit break. I love this game.
Zell's "Meteor strike" is the worst limit break. It always "miss".

Rinoa has the funniest limit breaks. Her limit breaks are both endearing and goofy. I always love Angelo and would usually bring Rinoa to the party because of Angelo.
Irvine's limit breaks are funny too.

Quistis has a variety of skills and it was fun gathering her limit breaks.

I love how Blasting Zone is a Father-Son Kamehameha-level attack and then in Kingdom Hearts he just casually has it permanently on for the latter half of his HP bar

Dude Angelo was the hero of the story! The climax of the game is when Rinoa fires Angelo and destroys the whole world. Then Angelo performs Angelo search and finds a tonne of gil which they use to live a fancy life.

So I’ve never played FF8 before, but Rinoa’s limit breaks using her dog, and then giving him a treat afterwards is like the best thing I’ve ever seen.
I love Irvine. Used him to farm tonberries for the Tonberry King GF. All it took was one turn from him and 3-4 AP ammos. I functioned him all strange and strength +. He’s great
...So is anyone not going to mention how Rinoa's dog is strong enough to suplex a huge monster before slamming them into the ground?

Just kind of realized how overpowered the limits breaks are in 8 lol. That and conjuring the limit breaks was easy, but the game is still awesome.
yeah they really were broken. Rinoa being THE most broken, then Zell, then Squall.. but all of the 6 main characters were broken powerfull in their own way with limit breaks.
For some reason, 05:57 reminds me of when the Simpsons went to Japan and saw the seizure robot show. And whoa, @ 06:30, Quistis is a fembot with "machine gun jubblies" as Austin Powers would state. o_O Looks Irvine has dragon's breath rounds @08:27 ^_^.
Never could get over how odd ball this installment is for final fantasy.

The Story of how Squall found a dog, bonded with it and rescued it in space would be better than than the bland love story
Rinoa’s Angel Wings amplifies the Magic Damage by 5 times that’s why Demi used by hers kills normally Demi is 25% based damage of the current HP but if you multiply 25% by 5 the damage will be 125% which kills

This game had a lot of great aspects but I think it could’ve done better with the antagonist. Honestly Ultimacia was one of the more intriguing antagonist on par with Sephiroth. Cool design, great theme song and I LOVED that seen where Edea possessed gives that speech to the crowd. But she never gets fleshed out. You only spend the last 5 minutes of the game talking to here then that’s it
Technically you spend a lot of time with her, since Ulitimecia is Rinoa.

She was possessing Edea so all Edea interactions for the first 2 discs are actually Ultimecia.
@@xOmniCloudx sort of, her power was still Edea's, each sorceress had a theme, Edea was Ice, Rinoa holy, Adel's was raw power and Ultimecia was time. And she still maintained her all black fashion, and picked Seifer to be her knight etc.. there were small hints that part of Edea was still there while Ultimicia was puppeting her.
And she kept her magical makeover even after she was free from posession. (which makes the whole 'gave away my powers' thing make even less sense.. has to be a translation error there somewhere)

I spammed Quistis Degenerator limit so much to reach a perfect level 100 with all my characters on the Island Closest to Hell
What's the point of levelling up in FF8? Some people are obsessed with low level runs and go through great lengths not to level up. I prefer not to worry about level and just farm magics.

Rinoa turned out to be the champ! Her limit breaks are amazing. They are all good though and I really appreciated them for the island closest to heaven and hell.
I Don't personally like Rinoa
If there is one "bad" limit break for Rinoa, i would say its Angelo Strike. Its nice single target damage but it gets in the way of Angelo Cannon, which is more useful to clear encounters. Wishing Star does the same for Invincible Moon but who in their right mind would noy learn Meteor Dog Rush?
You do not have to like her. As she is forced into the party several times, it is best to have her limit breaks as they all have their positives, even when fighting the boss. @@user-ec4me2hm9g

I was soo disappointed with Edea's limit break when I finally had her. I expected something more magically charming and powerful
I mean, you only have her in your party for an extremely limited time, so it’s easy to understand why they wouldn’t have put in a complicated thing that most people probably wouldn’t even get to see. On the other hand, I think it’s pretty appropriate that her limit break is the same move that she almost(?) kills Squall with at the end of disc 1.
Same would go for seifer really, I mean he was only there for the seed exam and became an absolute pain after that, even in the parts where you do have to end up fighting him.
Both seifer and edea has their limit break as reference to the cutscene movies, I find it funny though, imagine Edea using it next to Squall who almost died from that very same move.

Berserk witch Rinoa is the best limit break.
make sure her only offencive spell is meteor and she will cast it every time for crazy damage. Rinoa was outright the most broken character. you could abuse her dog too by not learning wishing star and have her just make your team 100% unkillable by spaming invincable moon.

I forgot how dumb Rinoas limit breaks were lol, I loved her character, her story, and the relationships she had, but dayum her limit breaks were dumb lol. I hope in the remake they change them and make them have cooler animations. I also hope that they give laguna and his squad more limit breaks, and a way to keep Seifer and Edea as playable characters at least during a second run through with their own updated limit breaks. I think that all characters should have around the same number of limit break, and for that matter squal really didn't have too many.
