Cool fact. Chester was able to hit that 17 second scream live many many times.
Just before the band started writing for Minutes, they staged an intervention with Chester to combat his excessive drug and alcohol use, which sent Chester to rehab for the first time. These were the first lyrics he wrote during that stint.

Yes, definitely
Yeah, Linkin Park's first two albums are much heavier. Given Up" is from their 3rd album, Minutes to Midnight, which is a good mix of heavy and mellow.
I'm really surprised no one has recommended "One Step Closer" or "Crawling" from their first album. The live song you were thinking of was "A Place For My Head", is also from the same album. Btw, definitely check out the album version. LP is great live, but the studio version has such great energy.

When I heard “One Step Closer” from “Hybrid Theory”, I was hooked. I had a lot going on back then. When Chester sang/screamed shut up………it helped me release my anger. I was blown apart by his death. There will never be another Chester Bennington. RIP Chester.

Bleed it out is probably one of my favorite LP songs. Hard to pick, but that one definitely hits just right for me.

Thanks for this reaction. I love that you said something about how he went back onto singing right after the long scream because almost no one comments on just the scream part. If you want another song with a good scream or something similar No More Sorrow is a good one or if you want one where he goes high to low back to high singing try Qwerty but the live version from Japan.
