- We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Paris, France on August 2022.
Paris is the capital and most populous city of France, with an estimated population of 2,148,271 residents as of 2020, in an area of more than 105 square kilometres. Since the 17th century, Paris has been one of Europe's major centres of finance, diplomacy, commerce, fashion, science and arts.
Its sobriquet “the City of Light” (“la Ville Lumière”), earned during the Enlightenment, remains appropriate, for Paris has retained its importance as a centre for education pursuits.
Paris received 38 million visitors in 2019, measured by hotel stays, with the largest numbers of visitors coming from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China. It was ranked as the second most visited travel destination in the world in 2019, after Bangkok and just ahead of London.
Our guided walking tour is about 12.42 miles (20 km) long, starts at the Centre Pompidou, ends at Triumphal Arch (Arc de Triomphe) and covers most attractions and historic sites of Paris.

I have always wanted to visit Paris and did it for a few days 4 years ago. And it was just amazing, and I completely fell in love with it. I can't wait to come this year and have that experience. Paris intra muros only has a population of 2.15 millions because it excludes areas, such as the financial district : La Défense or Other significant boroughs like Boulogne. The Grand Paris has a population of 7.1 millions and Paris metropolitan area has a population of nearly 14 millions.
It makes more sense to use the pop of the Grand Paris when comparing it with other cities 😊
