I saw videos of Reading festival where he barely screamed, so when I went to see them live for the first time I had low expectations. Man I was pleasantly surprised to hear his screams live. He rocked and screamed every single note.

The reason he doesn't scream live a lot is because it's extremely unhealthy for his voice. That scream there was horrible and he probably went home that night either without a voice or a very close to dead voice.
Tyler Short he is doing it a lot more live now (in 2017) and it sounds better than ever, hopefully he will do it properly this times so he won't hurt his voice

I purchased the DVD and Blu-Ray copy back when they announced the bundles earlier this year. I was a bit skeptical about release date (if it was worth pre-ordering) and if I had the cash for it.
Earlier this week, I received my digital copies for both the audio and video recordings. Listening to this album in my room with my surround sounds is... surreal. It Never Ends, Avalanche, Shadow Moses, Oh No (favorite) sounded fantastic. It was a symphony of not just sounds but emotion, and even color. I watched the video (an hours length,) and wasn't disappointed. This show looked stellar. So fluid, strong, and incredible. I don't dabble in it enough, but orchestrated music is something that cannot be easily mashed together and expect it to just "go along with it." Coordination and talent was filled to the brim with this one of a kind performance. If I could compare or give a sense of perspective, it sounded like the Star Wars, Final Fantasy, heck... even Pokémon scores were such a huge influence. I could even throw Halo in there and feel satisfied. Quite honestly, I envy the people who attended this show. I cannot imagine they will ever come across something like this ever, or for a while at least. However, this is something that will never leave their memories which will continue to live with them. As for BMTH, please... PLEASE continue to impress me with your sounds and performances such as this. I doubt we will ever see this tour again from them; especially in America. Great job, and keep it up. \m/

back when Oli could still sing and scream well
back before it got all controversial when they released MANTRA (which is still a bop, as well as the rest of "amo")
back when they were experimenting with a new sound but stuck with alternative rock
i mean obviously i want them to be whatever genre and sound they want to be, but this album in particular not only appealed to the mainstream a little more without actually being mainstream, but it also referenced their older material to make arguably their most important album
you've got Doomed referencing shadow moses
you've got Happy Song referencing chelsea smile
you've got True Friends referencing blacklist and sleep with one eye open
you've got What You Need referencing house of wolves
you've got Avalanche referencing alligator blood, crooked young, join the club
you've got Run also possibly referencing alligator blood
you've got Drown referencing the sadness will never end
you've got Blasphemy following along the lines of What You Need, further expressing Oli's opposition towards religion

Also Throne references a lot of their old song titles as well as lyrics, even the music video references their past album covers, but I think everything else is pretty spot on. Their new album Post Human also has a ton of references to their old songs, I love that about them

Ppl are worried about Oli and trust me, I am too. But I don't think his voice is an issue when it comes to *singing*. His singing is awesome, and pretty much on point. His *screams* however, you can hear the difference, you can hear its not as strong as it used to be. Maybe BMTH should have someone do the screams unless Oli is actually being trained to the screams properly this time? Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see .o.
