Here's everything you need to know about the Brand New Marvel Legends, Retro Fantastic Four the Animated Series, Wave One by Hasbro.
One thing about the exclusive Sue storm invisible.. hides the face. LOL
I didn't even think about the cartoon with these costumes - makes 'em that much cooler. But yeah, anytime I think Fantastic Four, it's _always_ blue & white. Probably goes back to the Marvel trading cards starting in '90 or maybe the 80's. But at some point that became their definitive look, and the animated series solidified it.
I had the more modern costumes with the Super Skrull wave Fantastic Four, but my preference was always one of their more classic looks, and I only started collecting after they'd already been working through the Walgreens exclusives, so I completely missed out on that Johnny. Super happy to have these new ones.
In Dr. Doom’s first comic book appearance he had the soft goods collar and no cape, the next time he appeared he had the cape but not the collar, you can make either look with this version.
Doctor Doom II also had no cape.

21:01 Woah, that's kind of a beautiful thing. Didn't even think about using an extra Reed to make Johnny. Good thing I have that Walgreens wave (still in the package minus the BAF parts) to use that lovely Sue head...and Johnny.

It's an unfortunate guarantee Hasbro's not gonna come out with a fedora and soft goods trench coat for Ben...way too much fabric for them. The good thing is there's plenty of very affordable custom options. And if you have the NECA Raph in disguise, you can throw that outfit on 'em.
New marvel legends collector here, and only collecting the retro toybiz ones on card. X-men, spider man and fantastic four. As well as some of the 3.75 teams
You're going about it the smart way . Limit yourself to what you really want otherwise you'll fall into a rabbit hole of random figures with no real aim. Which is easy with the vast amount Hasbro releases each year.
Amazing that Hasbro is using the card design of the animated series that Toy Biz used, not only are they using The Fantastic 4 but Spider-Man the Animated Series as well.
I REALLY like these. I already have a set, but I think I might want to get two... I may be in trouble. And you're right! Alternate beast heads with High Evolutionary would have been a great idea!
Also, the half powered Human Torch from Toy Biz came with Ice Man as part of The Fire & Ice Package.
I will be stoked getting a Jim Starlin adam warlock soon if theye ver made one! That wave alone is awesome! It would be awesome if Neca or McFarlane toys does The whole New Genesis and forever people wave

Nice overall.. and Doctor Doom, I still really like the first issue in the darker colors of Legends. That's just awesome even though this one's more cartoonish, more accurate for cartoon. That first ones just Beyond an awesome figure. Wish Johnny's neck wasn't so long on his figures and of course Invisible Woman's face.. What a mist moment.

I actually use the Ben Reilly head that came with Scarlet Spider for Johnny Storm
They're all great except I'm going to use the Hasbro Ronan build a figure wave version of Mr fantastic instead of the new one
Yeah, I agree with the BAF thing, it’s really a missed opportunity. Because IMO the retro/vintage cards are probably the most successful waves hasbro has made. If they had BAF’s people would complete the wave.

Call me crazy but that Sue Storm is kinda growing on me. I thought she looked bad at first but not so much anymore...I'mma get it so I can swap heads with the other two and still keep this most recent retro FF lineup.
I'll pass on the Fantastic four figures because I have the Walgreen's exclusives and the modern comic figures, but I'm all in on FF villains. Now where's our Mole man Hasbro? Thanks again Toy Shiz

Y'know what i agree that the super skrull invisible woman head should have been used more in the retro fantastic four marvel legends wave instead of that god awful headsculpt that hasbro made for the new figure man.

Yeah the tank top with three head styles. These would be regular, scarred, and helmet.

Loved the vid, but I don't think this is Animated Series. This is just the outfits they wore at the time in the 90s. The Animated Series just used outfits like this because this was what they wore in the comics at the time.

Future foundation? That’s not really a classic F4 look for my tastes, plus they already made Spidey.
I dont like that most Marvel Legends have a build a figure piece, they alway take up the hole box when there put in with woman characters. That cause I dont open mine
That Doctor Doom is too expensive, much like the Super Skrull version...it's like they short packed him or scalpers snatched them all up!
