I had a very dark moment at age 20. I also ended up with an amputation. The following five years my life was a drunken and drug fuelled mess. I met a woman who literally saved my life. Married now for 40 years, I have a loving son and two adorable grandchildren. Igor, I don't know you personally but believe me when I tell you your life CAN be wonderful. Do NOT let your past dictate the direction of your life and find it within yourself to forgive the actions you took on that fateful day. Good luck my friend.
thank you. your comment is healing spirit.
good for you and you cant be blamed one bit for how you first reacted my friend lost a leg and got a brain injury from falling through a factory roof fixing it he is devastated understandably i just hope my friend one day end up as happy as you are my friend all the best to you and your wonderful family
Good for you brother

@@Anonymous-lq2bs you're loved
The medics saved him. They had to have worked quick. They had to suture or cauterize 4 bleeding limbs .He received little to no help before as per his statement . Medics should receive commendations, accordingly
@john gibson absolutely. We can bleed out within 8 minutes flat. With four limbs. With an accident, alcohol in his system thinning his blood. Wow. Truly they should receive honorary awards. I'm sure they put tourniquets on each of his limbs. It's amazing that they got to him so fast. Sadly my cousin lost his leg. He's hard of hearing. Didn't even hear the train coming. He went to cross over people were screaming and waving their hands at him and he didn't understand what was going on. He thought they were waving at him to say hi. Unfortunately he crossed over and lost his leg. Sadly last year they put him to rest. He was a wild one. I know he's keeping my mom company. They were like two peas in a pod. He more like my mother. And I'm more like my aunt. They used to joke we should just trade children. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. Although my aunt has blue eyes. She has darker hair. Although my skin isn't the same color as hers I look more like her daughter than I do my own mother's daughter.
Bless this man. I hope he uses this accident to prove to people. You can do anything you set your mind to. And that is the truth. Wherever your will is, that is your way. The only thing that stands between us and what we want is ourselves. Bless him
I also saved my drug buddy, I wonder if it was more of a blessing to just let him be passing as he wanted as he didnt get much better and left anyway.. But something in me couldnt do that to him..
Absolutely!
@@eggstonjackson119 not your fault. You did what you could with what you knew.
When your limbs are completely severed, they can close up and cut off arterial bleeding because the muscles retract like broken rubber bands and bind up against the opening of the wound. So the medics may not have contributed to him not bleeding out.
When you get smacked by a train and survive you're definitely supposed to be here! Make the most of it Igor. You are awesome 🙂
Not too keen on the spoken translation. I personally prefer to hear the person's voice and read the translation
I disagree. I find it hard to read everything and pay attention the their facial expressions at the same time
@@241kyle it depends with what you grew up. I am Dutch we subtilte everything and I have a really hard time to follow the story when a lector is used.

I agree with u..it's not confusing.
I prefer the spoken translation. Reading the captions gets tiring on the eyes. I guess it's about the audience trying to be reached. 🤷
I have a friend who got very drunk and high and he was running next to the train tracks with his girlfriend when he fell and got sucked underneath the train, and was run over by very many train cars. His gf pulled him out and ripped off her shirt to make tourniquet for his severed legs. He went blind due to loss of blood and lost his legs above the knees. But he still sings heavy metal music and sometimes walks with prosthetic legs, but they hurt to use. God bless you both. He said he was always suicidal and self destructive before his accident, but now he loves life every day. I wish you the same peace of mind ✨ 🙏 💕 ❤
😥
Yes. Glad he lived. I have a close friend who was shot 6 times in the chest and one in the neck. He spent 4 years in a wheelchair and was told he'd never walk. He kept trying and trying eventually playing pool as an activity he could do in a wheelchair. He says it legit helped him stand again. He has to have a cane at all times but is the chilliest man you'll encounter. He got out of the gang life and lives well today. The man who shot him got 15 years for attempted murder. He showed up at his parole hearing at 10 years and asked for him to be let out. I've heard that before about being suicidal and having a traumatic experience that shakes up your view on life and the ultimate beauty of it. In fact I just watched a true crime doc where a young woman was distraught walking down the street planning her suicide. She was abducted by 2 men and held captive. When she had that experience she realized how much she really did want to live but needed help. Thank you for sharing about your friend. Glad he still rocks. 💜 🙏
@@pennyp7382 I watched something similar recently about a girl who was riding her bike home from work, she had been abused and tormented and now her Grandmother's boyfriend was assaulting her (r*pe)...
She just wanted to d*e.
Then she was abducted and r*ped for smth like 13 hrs by a man.
She survived bc she convinced him that she just wanted to be his gf and that he couldn't kill her bc she had to get back to care for her sickly Father...
He ended up dropping her a couple blocks from her home and no one believed her about what happened for YEARS...
Until many years later the guy was caught... and ut turned out to be a serial killer

Alison, chronic pain means forever. In medical terms chronic conditions are everlasting ones which can be managed but never treated forevermore. This in turn leads to anxiety, stress, and depression (mental health issues) which in your case is entirely justified. Alcoholism and depression are a dangerous mixture. They stop you from self care and self love.
Drowning your hidden sadness and feelings of inadequacy and feelings of failure and hopelessness, with alcohol is NEVER a solution.
Avoiding alcohol and having counselling and setting small, practical achievable career goals are very important for recovery... and so too, having genuine, safe, good, caring friends who are there for you during your difficult, dark times is essential for improving mental health. Kindness matters.
I wish this young man a positive, new beginning filled with joy, hope and love. His limbs may be gone but his spirit is strong and on the right path in life.
Thank you for sharing this video, Vasya in the Hay.👍
I am extremely grateful that I don’t appear to be prone to alcoholism (something I always kept an eye on due to some cases in the family): I was in a serious depression (which I finally managed to get out of) for several years, and my very-well-stocked home bar barely got touched during that time. (My shrink and I agree: that was the acid test.)
Thanks!

You didn’t ask for advice so forgive me if I’m overstepping. I was a month and half in the hospital with a tibial plateau fractureand it took me 4 months to walk around the block with poles supporting me. (“Activator”poles which can be found on Amazon. I took physical therapy at home and next at a nearby pt office. PT was a frustrating, disappointing experience with my injury. Every time I got on the Pilates reformer I felt this is it. I can make it with this kind of therapy. No matter what PT therapists would put me on the Pilates machine for 6 minutes max, no more.
I made a big decision to invest in a reformer Pilates club with unlimited access. The cost of reformer Pilates had me rule it out emphatically as a fitness tool. Now, with my ability to walk and reduce pain is dependent on this discipline. Without Pilates my quality of life would diminish. Okay, just thought I’d share my rehab experience. Be gentle with yourself. Never give up. Keep on going. 😊
Lots of CBD and THC man It will Help you tremendously

All the very best for this young man. I’m so sorry this happened to him. My father lost his leg above the knee when he worked at the railways as a shunted. He went to jump up onto the step of the train as it was moving and the rail gave way, he went under the train. He almost lost his life due to the loss of blood (shock) but he pulled through, it was devastating for a fit active man. After this accident and his recovery he was then diagnosed with terminal cancer. I miss him a lot. I know his struggles with one amputation. I can’t imagine how devastating this was for this lovely young man. Well done son you will do great, your already come so far! I wish you well and I pray for you. Bless you son x
Yeah, except what happened to your father was really an accident, in this case he was him who wanted to stay under a moving train because a voice told him to. It's more of a consequence rather than a "accident".

Such a moving story how this man can stand up and grab ahold of his dreams
I feel that when accidents happen the victim very often goes through a period of anger, there is someone else to blame for what happened to them. Igor didn't have this because, as he said, he did it to himself. Thank goodness he has forgiven himself and instead is using what happened to help others. I wish him well and know he will be a good husband and father one day.
Grief comes in cycles. Hopefully, he’ll reach every single goal he has set in his mind. When you have a life altering injury you come to a high point in recovery. You have to accept your limitations. That’s not so easy to accept, that there is no better. You may know it’s your fault the whole time, but the older you get you realize exactly what you robbed yourself of. Forgiving yourself can be the hardest thing in the world to do. His attitude now is great which will take him a long way, but he’ll never feel with fingertips again. His feet will never touch sand, grass, or water. Life is the greatest gift. It’s the little things we take for granted.
Yet he blames the others for leaving him
He is so good looking! He has beautiful eyes, His cheekbones and jawline are so handsome. Whatever was going on inside him at the time, I hope he is also receiving mental health therapy along with physical rehabilitation where he is at, because it is very important. I pray for the very best for him. He is still capable of greatness! And God must have a plan and some work for him to do here on earth and said it wasn't his time yet. ❤️🙏

Thanks Sergei, as always, touching our hearts.
What else can he do hand modeling
This was a powerful video. This is a handsome guy with such an incredible attitude. I hope he realizes all of his dreams.
Thank you so much. May Almighty bless you abundantly. Remain Blessed & happy new year to you and your family and those you have helped
The voice actor did a good job, but I really prefer to have just text... much better with the original Russian and subtitles.
Agree
Obviously God has plans for you. I sit quietly and listen for all He puts on my heart. You're such a handsome young man and blessed with a mother who loves you so much. Thank you for sharing your story with the world. One day maybe you will be involved in groups such as alcohols anonymous AA, help those in trouble with addiction. Blessings.
What a brave man, I really hope that his life dreams come true, I wonder what actually set off the chain of events that resulted in these catastrophic injuries. He needs an amazing amount of love and care. Love and best wishes Igor from Wales. Thanks Sergei for all that you do, you are one in a million. Heddych.
Thanks for share this story. Very strong young man. Best to him. Peace from India. 🙏🏼
I prefer Russian spoken with subtitles it’s more powerful, but great story👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇸🇰🇺🇦
Likewise
Or at least turn the volume in the original language down so it's not the same level as the dubs
Yes!
@@bonbon-wl8eo Yes, I cannot understand this with 2 voices at once!
Nothing of them 2, we can live without russia👐🏻
I was in a situation too where I was dying but for me no one was around. I always tell everyone dying alone is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone. Knowing that people are around, and not helping though would be awful.
Death is not so awful, it is the things that die inside of us while we are living that is.
What an inspiring young man, thankyou for your powerful videos!
What an extremely brave and positive man..God bless your wonderful heart ❤ 💙 💜 heal....with kindness ❤ ♥ you are truly blessed...Jennifer...from Prince Rupert b.c canada
What a strong, resilient man. His story is so tragic, and it's remarkable that he is turning this tragedy into a way to warn others about bad decisions. He deserves to be happy❤️
Igor has the opportunity to be a much needed teacher now ....teaching young people to not succumb to habitual drinking ...hopefully he can hook up with some scuptural engineer friends to give him and others mobility solutions ........if he can find a mobility company to sponser him as a film maker and transportation advocate ....maybe he can join a organization involving wounded military veterans too , I think they can share alot with him in recovery ....best of luck Igor
Your a champion bloke and wish you well. God is great and has you here for a purpose. Good luck in your future and in everything you do. Blessings from all of us in Australia 🇦🇺.
1st channel I've ever joined. Bless you guys. With love from South Africa
An eye opening story of how seemingly inconsequential decisions can have such profound and lasting impact. We have all done impulsive things and most of us have not had to pay such a price but some have. I hope and pray that Igor continues to be positive and inspirational as his example is important. He seems like an incredible person and I hate that this happened to him but I believe he has the spirit to overcome and to help others. Igor I wish you all the best going forward. I pray that God will watch over you and bring great people into your life. Peace
I’m 42 and I’m dying of liver failure from drinking beer. I didn’t drink hard liquor but I drink six beers every day 12 or more on the weekends. I was given 30 days to live and was placed in hospice. That was almost 3 years ago this month. I’m sober and have been since I was told that it didn’t matter if I stopped I was done for. I have never been good at fallow directions especially if I didn’t want to hear it. I’m not going to live into my 70s but I’m going to do everything I can to live to 100.
Don't give up, the human body is incredibly resilient at healing itself and recovering even after long-term abuse. I am sure you'll make it and wish you the best of luck on your journey. remember nobody is perfect we all deal with our own problems and personal demons we are all damaged one way or another in this life but that damage is what makes us stronger at the end
What a helpful young man. I will pray for him for a positive future.
Thank you for your story. I luv u your strength and gracious heart
