@@TrueBeauty01 the point is, she said it like it was an impressive thing that they would hem your pants for free, and that it “only” takes 6 days. But it’s not impressive at all, considering you’re already paying an arm and a leg for leggings.

Lol 😭😭my step mom moved with us back from Germany to America and she said she was always so interested by the way people in customer service act here. She said they seem fake happy lol. I explained to her it essentially is.
Genius marketing. Not only will your pants fit you better making you like them and consider buying more of their product but it also gets you in the store on two separate occasions to drop them off and pick them up giving you extra opportunities to buy more
But it’s free to get them tailored by someone that knows what they are doing and sewing supplies is expensive. Also I seriously doubt anyone is in such dire need of plain leggings that they can’t wait 2 weeks or less for them to come in
I’m sure they may have the staff say two weeks just to be safe. She did take them in at the beginning of the holiday shopping season, so maybe they pad that number just in case they get inundated with hemming requests for the holidays.
Lululemon be stingy with this information I didn’t know this for years until I brought a pair of shorts and casually commented at the counter that I wish they came in a shorter length… the attendant said that while they don’t advertise it openly, hemming has always been an option, it’s just expensive for them 😉
As someone who loves Camp fashion and avant- garde clothing. I can not possibly imagine seeing a plane grey hoodie with barely any fitting to it as “super cute” I am so thankful that everyone can love what they love but at a certain point I worry for your ability to self express.
People can self express outside of their fashion, and people don’t wear fashion just for self expression. They do it to create an effect, or just to simply clothe themselves. People don’t wear clothes to entertain you.
Thats.. common and 6 days where i live if anything you're buying from any store need to be altered or hemned they'll do it right away or maximum it'll take 3-4 hours you can just come and pick it up and yes its free it's a very common thing I've seen since i was a kid and went shopping with my mom
All the people talking about her jacket are so annoying 😭 like yeah it's not the most unique cutest clothing item to exist, but if she likes it then let her like it
In my country, no matter how cheap or expensive the cloth item you buy, it'll be free to alter it, and it will not take more than 2 days mostly 1 day to alter it.
That's pretty cool! I'll have to keep that in mind. I've been tempted to get a pair of leggings from them in the past and knowing they can hem them for me for free just makes it all the more tantilizing. I'm 5'7 so I usually find leggings either too long or too short so this would be fantastic for me. Might have to check if there's a store near me. Sucks being on the short side of tall.
what!?!?? oh my god no way!!! thank you thank you so much for sharing this, i don’t know what i would’ve done if i didn’t have this information. thank you

Normally I’d say “just learn how to do it yourself” HOWEVER, hemming stretchy things requires more expensive materials and more skill than just regular pants. When I was learning I had to practice on plain clothes before dealing with stretchy fabrics. If you don’t do it right you could damage the cloth and with Lulu lemon leggings? That’s an expensive fuck up. 6 days IS a lot of time for a simple hem, but also it’s a FREE hem. “Do it yourself” is simply not good advice here. They would have to buy thread, possibly in a color they’ll never use again, and needles, thimbles (or a sewing kit with both.) then potentially also take a week to learn a new skill so they don’t mess up their brand new leggings, then start sewing. If they take it to a local shop would it be only 5 bucks? Sure! But to be honest, local places can be just as bad if not worse. Since lulu lemon is so expensive they’ll have higher expectations for their work. Also, again, free is better than five bucks.
In lululemon’s popular styles of leggings they have multiple lengths. For some if you’ve never worn them you could likely exchange them for a shorter inseam
My husband bought suit at Nordstrom Hugo Boss. The pants hem were done same day, we picked them up few hours later. Anyway I’m glad that stores provide this service and wish more stores were
I got these flare pants from lulu and they were super long and I got them hemmed. They are one of my fav pants from there now! (I’m wearing them in my profile pic🤭)

It’s free. Just be aware that it’s not going to be as good as the original stitching. It’s OK for free I suppose, but not the best quality.
Expensive? Hemming a pair of pants takes 30 minutes tops and most of that is just pinning
Two weeks?! I used to live in Seoul and get my jeans hemmed at Uniqlo all the time and they were always ready within an hour.
I have a pair that had a rip, and I brought them to the store and they gave me a new pair for free!!
