I’m announcing a middle school football game for the first time tomorrow. I’ve done indoor sports since 2016, but this was a huge help. I feel more confident now.

Thank you, this was very helpful! I am not familiar with the sport so I appreciate the play by plays! If you could create a list of general things to say, that would be awesome, as some things were hard to hear with the mic haha. General things that I wrote down from this were like "kicking off for shcool is number name" or "forced outta bounds by number name." Thank you again!

I have a couple of questions. But before I ask them I'd like to let you know that I do have minimal experience in announcing football and would like your opinion on a few things that I practice. The way I got the job was due to being the only person among many who had the nerve. That may sound funny but it's true. Therefore I was pretty much hired by default. But that said, I've been told by coaches and fans that I'm doing a better than decent job.
The only education I have is from simply listening to seasoned pros in the college and high school ranks. If you mentioned in the video I didn't catch it and that's what I believe to be a good practice. I'm talking about NOT TALKING over the action. IOW: Hold my tongue until the play is whistled dead.
Another thing is being alone in the booth as opposed to having some sort of assistance. What I mean is: having someone there to point out the defensive player who made the tackle. Sometimes I am provided with this help but not always. I have no problem identifying the ball carrier and/or passer. But I find difficulty in being consistent on the tackler. Mainly because of the time it takes to identify the offensive subjects. Usually the scrum has broken up by then leaving me at a loss as to which player made the stop. Is experience something that will help that? Or is it a good idea to have that helping hand simply pointing to the roster sheet with a pencil?
Also I try my best to keep any sort of bias or favoritism out of my presentation. Reason being the crowds in attendance at my games or usually equally represented. Although we do have our home team. our visitors come in relatively large numbers and everyone sits on the same side.
I could probably use your expertise on other issues. But at this time I'll only ask that you touch on the few I have mentioned. Thank you sir.

Yes, always wait until the play is dead and whistle has blown before announcing. I typically call faster when I have binoculars instead of a spotter but that is preference.
