Better Night just sent me a Rental Bill for not using the machine, over $300
    After I returned it.
The industry doesn't want to give you surgery.
For a pre-arranged price, the insurance company will saddle you with a machine that let's them know if you are actually using it. Via a cellular connection.
And has standing that you refused service.
    No surgery for you.
Only a machine you can not sleep with.
Our medical system in this country is a joke.
Also, the friendly help on how to use a machine has never actually used one.
    Just ask them!
They have never spent half the night getting settled to a stiff hose tethered to the top of their head.
    Or listening to yourself breath.

I did call BetterNight and they waved the $300 for the asking.
I'm waiting to see if my credit gets dinged for not paying.

How does anybody sleep with this damn thing? It’s blowing air in my mouth, which dries my mouth and throat, and then makes it hard to exhale.

When I went in for my 'sleep study' the girl wasn't able to hook up the USUALLY MANDATORY humidifier, I though I was going to die, dreaming I was lost in the Sahara.. That and the equipment falling of the walls] was the first clue this [pssst- Sparta NJ] company was incompetent.

Before all of that, please try inexpensive 'gull-wing' nasal dilator clips and a side-sleeping backpack. $40.00 - $60.00
The backpack can be a home-made item, further reducing cost.
These work fine for me the past six years, probably can't be a sure-fire cure for everyone though.

Im sorry but I must disagree here. If someone is diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and their doctor says they need a CPAP, Id stick with their recommendations.

That 's unfortunate about your arm, maybe a pillow could help.

Sadly the gold standard is not weight loss which will naturally solve the problem as opposed to being married to an air compressor with a snorkel on it and having your bedroom sound like Jiffy Lube. The health care industry in this country is unbelievable.

That's actually not true. While there are several sleep apnea treatment options available, there is no cure. However, weight loss may help reduce sleep apnea symptoms for some people, but only if you have obstructive sleep apnea. There are three types of sleep apnea: obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea (CSA), and mixed sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common, making up 84% of sleep apnea diagnoses.

Not all sleep apnea sufferers are overweight. Do some research before commenting so you don't look so ignorant.

@@hojo70 So I can tell you at least for OSA it can be 100% reversed and cured by weight loss. That is a fact.

I got sleep apnea during Covid. It my case it was directly correlated to rapid weight gain. The problem is if you have sleep apnea you are not going to be able to work out because you are constantly exhausted. The CPAP gave me the energy to workout and lose weight. I don't snore anymore since I lost the weight but I feel like I get more quality sleep with the CPAP so I continue to use it despite not really needing it.
