The REAL Dangers Of Mouth Breathing
Mouth breathing while you sleep may seem harmless…but it can actually lead to a TON of health issues. And I don’t just mean bad breath. We’re talking about your WHOLE body.
There are a ton of reasons someone might be a mouth breather while they sleep. Allergies and congestion are a common reason. If your nose is stuffy and it’s tough to breathe with your mouth closed, you’ll be more likely to default to mouth-breathing. Alcohol is also a pretty big culprit, too. When you drink, the muscles in your throat relax and are more likely to cause you to snore, and that can contribute to your mouth opening. And then, your facial anatomy ALSO plays a role.

    Snore get to the point. last chapter is actual what it’s supposed to be about…even then it’s nothing significant. For a sleep doctor I’d thought there would be more relevant a divide

    When I'm up throughout the night I just lie in bed and do a yoga nindra that relaxes me if I got up like he said every time I'm up then I would really get no rest I don't get stressed out anymore when I'm up throughout the night cuz I know this is habit for me so like I said I do a meditation in the middle of the night sometimes I'm able to go back to bed sometimes I don't at least I'm getting rest for my body and mind also in the middle of the day I lay down and do another hour meditation or half an hour this gives me energy and focus throughout the day when I take the time out to relax in the middle of the afternoon

    You cannot base a general study with your personal body absorption capacity. Basically a study doesn't represent what's good or bad for your own body . Like for examples my body doesn't tolerate spinach peas beans lentils chicken peas 😅 . Until you don't experiment with your own body what food it likes you'll never know based on a study what's good for you or bad 😅

    Works for me. First, I ate normally a meat, a carb and vegetables. Then I got diabetes and after following the ADA guideline and my docs meds for 18 months I felt terrible and my numbers were going in the wrong direction. The first solution was watching TED talk by Dr. Sarah Hallberg, to CURE diabeties you have go against the medical guidelines. 2) Dr. Ken Berry: Don't believe what anyone tells you about something being good for your blood sugar or not. TEST IT YOURSELF. So I did...and eliminated all pasta, rice, grains, bread, cereals...and so my plate was then meat and veggies. 3) Then I kept a food journal and started noticing I'd get the worst intestinal fireworks when eating brocolli or salad. So, it sounds crazy. You think if you have a plate with 1/3 pasta, 1/3 veggies and 1/3 meat and you eliminate the pasta and vegetables that you'd then need three times as much meat. Funny thing is it doesn't work like that. If you are eating carb laden foods, it spikes your blood sugar (which is fine if you don't have diabeties) . Your body has to produce more insulin and that makes you hungry. When you eliminate carbs and lots of veggies are carb laden you don't spike your sugar, your body doesn't produce as much insulin and without eating more you are satiated, and not eating as many meals. It's not that I have some zen like willpower and give off food. I'm eating meat and eggs when I'm hungry normally around 2pm, and a meat dinner around 8pm and that's it. If I'm hungry before bed I'll eat something like a hardboiled egg and cheese. You think you need fiber but you do not. You think you need carbs but you do not. So much of what we've learned about nutrition is about money. You think oatmeal is healthy, it is not. It is starch which quickly breaks down into sugar. If you are not a horse or cow reading this, you do not have the digestive hardware to digest (make bioavailable) any nutrients from grain. Look at bread, oatmeal...it's "fortified and enriched", because there's nothing there without them sprinkling in chemical vitamins. Without it it's a nutritional as the cardboard box.

    You can get most all of your essential nutrition from a carnivore diet if you include organ meat primarily liver. Also red meat is one of the least inflammatory foods in existence. You have been misinformed

    So I used to have really bad back and sciatic nerve pain. I've had surgery on my back twice and injections into my back for my nerve. And about 4 years ago I bought a cheap bed in a box from Walmart called linen spa hybrid mattresses. Add I am so thankful that i found this mattress it is a 10inch queen and I just helped back and sciatic pain soooo much. The only thing I've noticed is they wear out fast. I'm looking to replace mine soon. So I've been looking at linen spa and im stumped. What's the difference between medium and medium plush? I have fo admit it could be a little softer but I don't know if that's just because of the wear on it but could i try medium plush or is that a bad idea.

    Ambien was the worst thing I've ever taken. I was sleepwalking every night. I have insomnia big time, nothing has ever really helped. I've tried all suggestions through the years. Good luck to all you sleepless people out there, hope you can find something to help.

    The oxygen saturation data in this case proves why in-home oximetry tests are worthless. The reason...oxygen saturation can stay at relatively normal levels in young healthy individuals when they have apnea because the heart will do all it can by beating faster to keep oxygen levels up. Look closely at the charts at 3:57. Where the oxygen saturation drops, there is a corresponding spike of increased heart rate (red chart). This is likely the main reason untreated sleep apnea causes cardiovascular disease.

    I'm different. I'm a musician/night owl. At night, cortisol elevates and I'm motivated to do things. Even if I sleep a solid 8, I wake up very slowly. Even after coffee, I'm not awake for hours.... I've always had issues getting to sleep. I just don't do normal. Now I'm 73. I get to bed around 1am now. I wake up way too early, 7 or 8, or before. I usually don't drink. I'm experimenting with low carb to keep blood sugar lower... Upon waking, after coffee, I'm energetic for about 2 hours, then the rest of the day is a slog... a good nap is rare, but I do lay down, rest, then get back to my slog. My mother died of Alzheimers. 15 or more years before, she had major sleep issues... and this was before phones with screens. I need a sleep study. I do have a CPAP.... notice I sleep so much better on workout days and long days working in the yard.

    pfe, easy fix. just gotta do it early: dont sleep a night. then you hjust gotta tough it out one day and go to bed in the evening. if you dont even have that little bit of self-control you're fucked, sure. but you would get fucked by anything, dw worry about sleep lol
