      Blue Spring is a great spot for manatees. They technically don’t want you “swimming” with the manatees but if you are in the water and they are in the water, it’s a very cool experience. You just can’t swim towards them or the rangers yell at you haha. But it’s amazing. I’ve been within a few feet of them many times. Crystal River is another great spot (check my water bike video for some additional info on that place) and weeki Wachee river is another popular spot (check my popular spots to kayak video). Of course we have a “manatee mania” video too. Haha we cover all the bases. I really hope that helps. Let me know if I can help in any other way!

      Hi! Awesome! Rock Springs at Kelly Park (I have a video) is a great spring to check out in the area. The spring head is beautiful and there’s a cool lazy river and plenty of spots to swim. Next door there is a spot called Kings Landing where you can kayak. If you want more of a party vibe, Ginnie Springs is not too far away. You can swim, kayak, tube, camp all in the one park (I have a video for Ginnie too). Do you have kids? What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?

We are hiring a car and staying in both Orlando and Miami. I also wasn’t sure if the tubes are still working in October at any of the springs? We are staying in Orlando from 23rd to 30th october

    • @artofadventurepascalemo
      @artofadventurepascalemo  Před 10 měsíci

      @@Flygirlnunez October is after the summer rush. So Rock Springs at Kelly Park should not be too crowded. If you went on a week day, you won’t have to be there super early. It made my list for family friendly springs. 10-12 year olds will love it. I put the link above if you want to check it out. You need to bring your own tubes, but you can find floats in almost all the grocery stores in Florida. They are not expensive at all. And Kings Landing is a beautiful kayak spot. Literally around the corner. Wekiwa Springs is also in that same area. Great spot to snorkel. The kayak run is great too. Lots of wildlife. No tubing on that part tho. 🐊

    • @artofadventurepascalemo
      @artofadventurepascalemo  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi! Good question. I bet you could get an Uber to drop you off and pick you up in front of the “entrance” to the park but you may have to walk a bit to the entrance of the spring. Blue Spring would be a really long walk. But there are 2 nice springs that are even closer to Orlando and would be a shorter walk from the park entrance to the spring entrance. Check out my videos on Rock Springs and Wekiwa. Both amazing and may be better for ubering. Good luck. Let me know how it goes 🤙💙

    • @artofadventurepascalemo

      Yes you will see manatees at Blue Spring year round. You can only paddle and swim the spring run between March-November (sometimes the dates change a bit depending on how many manatees show up and when they start to use the spring tun as a warm water refuge).
