    I prefer watching this kind of channel rather than watching official IMSA or Le Mans because there is no stupid commentaries and I can hear the engine sound 100%

    Unrestricted LMP2 : 1:30.933
    LMDh Porsche 963: 1:32.608

      Yes LMP2 got nerfed significantly for the Arrival of Hypercar and LMDH but don't forget that all Hypercars and LMDH are pretty restricted themselves (Big Aero restrictions in form of mandatory drag levels and downforce levels, Hybrid used as infill instead of adding to engine power like in F1 or LMP1, Hybrid usage only allowed at a certain speed and pretty much every Engine used has a far greater HP Potential then 670Hp,) so they could make an big unrestricted increase themselves.

      @@II-Dabolpaepus Hybrid usage is only the deployment to 4WD and not related to power. Plus one thing to note is that qualifying pace in Hypercar vs. an LMP2 qualifying pace are pretty different. Usually LMP2's don't slow down too much from their quali pace, whilst in Hypercar you can set it up fast but getting that performance in the race is really hard to do.

      @@Theel25 I know that Hybrid isn't increasing the cars power with these rules and it's basically the ice cutting power so that rest of the allowed of power can be deployed at the front or rear. That's what I meant with "power infill". But this is just a software thing that all teams easily could remove if it wasn't mandtorry. So they easily could run the cars without the ICE cutting power when hybrid power is deployed and no speed restriction.
      And yes there would be a difference between qualifying and race pace because you have to use different hybrid strategies but the cars having 900+ hp when hybrid is deployed would knock a few seconds of their lap time even in race trim. And I also said that pretty much all engines used could easily run more than 670hp if it was allowed. If they just run more Power from the ICE then there wouldn't be a big slowdown to qualifying speed.

      Yes, because these lmp2 were built for 2017, when the rocketship LMP1s were still a thing. The real comparison should be with the next generation LMP2s, once they’ll debut, which are built on the same chassis as LMDh.

      @@thereal_bio All LMDH Cars use the current LMP2 Chassis from either Oreca, Ligier, Dallara or Multimatic so they are already based on the same Chassis?

    Do we now understand which series run GT3 cars with which muffler configurations? I want to hear them as they should be heard.

      Thanks a lot mate! Well I'd say Fanatec GT World Challenge, GT Open and WEC have the cars running in their correct exhaust config (some of them are muffled but it's always been like this, for example the Mercedes AMG GT3s). Instead the Manthey's Porsche GT3 Rs in this video feature a very quiet exhaust configuration (which I've never heard before, luckily 🤐) and that should be for races at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, for example, where there are harsher noise restrictions

      Yep but not with noise restriction in Imola. Those were Manthey's GT3 Rs and that was the first time I've ever heard such muffled Porsche. I believe they were using the exhaust config for the extremely severe noise restrictions of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and its NLS championship and/or the 24 Hours race there

      Thanks a lot! It depends from track to track but generally here in Italy it's possible to attend these test days by Kateyama from public spots and grandstands, but generally the paddock is accessible only for teams and media

      They are running heavy silencers due to noise restrictions. Those GT3-R’s are insanely loud.

      ​@@streetfighter4006 This is a German Spec one, and complies with harsher noise restrictions. This is the type of stuff they use for the Nurburgring, any series outside of Germany will have the usual scream of the GT3.R

      It depends from track to track but yeah if there isn't any strange limitation Kateyama test days can be attended from the grandstands and/or from public areas, here in Italy. Paddock is always closed instead

    Now that GT3 got promoted also for Le Mans, I would like to see more series giving more rooms to the GT2s (like Creventic and Le Mans Cup), just to have a little more variety. I love GT3, but there’s just too much

    Chevrolet are just enormous..going from the historical CORVETTE & front engine set-up to a mid-engine monster with such great performance fron the start is amazing...it's like if Mercedes-Benz were building a new rear engine race car and win Le Mans as early as Chevy did...!!

    Such a shame that level of Polish motorsport is such in shit state that test session like this are virtually impossible... Despite some drivers and teams at world level in racing and rallying, polish scene of racing and rallying is very mediocre at best. Despite having back rally Poland back in WRC, Motorsport in general is exotic sport. We don't have such variety, standards and interest of normal people. Maybe one day... Best regards :D
