brad saying he shampoos once a week makes me want to screen record him and send it to all my friends to defend my hair care routine
Yeah, I shower like once a week and im not dirty, it really depends on how much you like do things and get sweaty and when you feel like your body is gross,, idk, but most times, showering every day can be harmful, it can strip your skin and become dry which isn't good, and I think dont quote me but since your stripping your skin a lot your body might be overproducing more oils than it needs too and might lead to break outs, thats what I've heard so yeah,, don't take my word 100% haha

I think brad should develop his own color remover that is safe for all us novices to use.
I'm a hair color chemist.
Color Oops causes a reduction reaction that reverses the oxidative reaction of mixing tint with developer. For this reason it is only indicated to remove permanent and demi-permanent hair color (ie, color activated by peroxide).
Semi-permanent color is direct dye that undergoes no oxidation reaction (this is why it does not need developer).
Color Oops is great for removing any color you deposited by mixing tint with developer, but semi-perm direct dyes do not require this kind of treatment. A bleach bath is the better option for effective removal of direct dyes.
Color oops made my hair green it was so bad it made my dad cry which is a lot so I don’t use it at all but I go to a professional stylist now
please can you tell me how to remove PERMANENT blue

So if you use box dye such as Revlon or Clairol can this Color Oops be used?
@@rem-erfulsleeptech2606 According to the commenter, only if that box dye is permanent or demi-permanent. But many box dyes are semi-permanent, which may require bleach.

It's in response to some girl who posted a video claiming he wasn't really a hair stylist and that she is and says how his color doesn't come out. I'm glad he made this to prove the haters wrong!
A bleach bath is STILL so damaging...i thought the point was to do this WITHOUT any bleach. I know bleach baths work but not like THAT on BLUE...any other color it's good yet still damaging.
I've personally had awesome results with Color Oops, using it with permanent hair color of course! It removed a very dark blue black dye and brought my hair back to its natural light brown. The best part is my hair was not damaged at all, and I was able to dye it back to my desired color the very same day! It was amazing to me.
do you think it would remove orange? lol. also, does it smell?
@@MsMosas color oops definitely does smell and, in my opinion, the extra strength one smells super badly. but if you keep the room ventilated, it's not too bad and it works pretty well :)

I used ion permanent hair color (purple). I bleached my hair before, and it has slight damage. It's been months now and it's faded, I want it to just go back to the blonde. Do you think the color Oops would work?
The most effective non damaging diy hair color remover I've ever used is vitamin c tablets crushed up mixed with head and shoulders shampoo and it got the hot pink out of my hair in just a few applications and didn't do much damage to my hair. I was extremely pleased that it got all the color out of my hair
Wow really? I tried it and my hair turned into rubber bands :( and it had hardly lifted box dye at all. It damaged it as much as 2 or 3 bleaching sesh would. Your luckyyyyy :)

I'm SO glad I found this channel! @BradRondo, I don't know if you'll see this because this post is at least a year after you made it.
I've got a dilemma because MONTHS ago, I applied a Splat no bleaching, direct color for darker hair.
I chose a gorgeous shade of dark blue. Now because of my natural auburn hair, there were violet under tones to the blue, which only showed in the sunlight. I wasn't mad because it looked pretty cool, really.
Now, I'm trying to get rid of this direct dye. I tried the extra strength Color Oops to get this color out of my hair. Well, the Oops worked on my roots and the 3 to 4 inches of regrowth but, didn't do SQUAT about the old direct dye. You're right, the box and instructions contradicted each other.
The Oops lightened my regrowth and one small section that had been bleached before I applied the dark blue direct color. The entire shaft of my hair is STILL the dark blue.
Grrr!
It looks like I'm going to have to use the lightener/developer/ shampoo and water method to finally evict this darn Splat for darker hair.
I've subscribed to your channel.
Wish me luck with getting this color out, lol!

i thought about that one aswell when removing my pink hairdye that really was stuck. just my hair had been super damaged before, so i didnt wanna use bleach on it. also what i find difficult with bleachbaths is that you find like 10 different ways to mix it if you look it up lol. some use 30 developer mix with water so that it turns out to be like 20 vol or something? but then some use 20 and mix it with double the amount of shampoo and idk what... xD
Idk whats with my hair but bleach could not remove the blue stains. I'd go in with straight bleach and it wouldnt lift to the level of the wig in the video but it would remove most of the dye and then the only thing that would fade the stain (even the wig has that green tone) is the vit C. Colour oops aside but I actually feel the optimal is a combo of all 3 methods (clarifying shampoo-bleach-vit c)
That being said its literally only blue that I have this issue with 😂

I'm so glad I watched this! I was planning on buying the oops color remover. I didn't know it had fumes. I have lung damage and fumey chemicals really bother me. Bleaching my hair never has so I didn't even think about it. That comment you made about your respiratory tract not being happy was very helpful!
I've heard people say the smell from the color oops was in their house for so long, and when they went to wash the shirt they used it made the rest of their clothes smell like it. It was awful.
As you can tell from the picture, I use a lot of color and this is so helpful because I don’t want to just constant bleach my hair when it fades. But unfortuently since I don’t always, some parts get muddy over time and I’d love a safe way to remove some of it.
I find the problem though is getting the light fade out, the new dye always washes out with shampoo. The stain is what haunts me.

I’m a hairstylist, I’ve also used all of these methods on myself. Bleach wash was definitely the most effective here but I always prefer to use Joico Color Eraser, formulated to remove direct dyes. It’s still damaging but slightly less so than bleach I believe.
It works fast but beware it will lift your natural hair color if left on long enough.
Is a direct dye permanent dye?
@@hannahverne5419 No, because your natural hair color is still under there ( think of a photo filter.)
Permanent color uses a developer (w/ ammonia) to remov 100% of your natural color and replaces it with the artificial color.

I mean he must be looking at the viewfinder of the camera so kinda yeah
THANK YOU! I have been doing my own color for over 2 decades. I had a color that was gorgeous and looked like a was born with it. It was extremely flattering. Then the company stopped making it. I wasn’t finding anything comparable. Yesterday I thought I had a solution. I was waffling between 2 swatches and picked the warmer one- the swatch was so close to my now defunct color. I wanted copper. The swatch said copper- and I think that someone looked at the tube and put it back in the wrong place on the shelf, because this is an intense red, red. I hate hate it. Always make sure the tube you pick up is the same as the swatch. This is the second time this has happened to me. You would think it would take one time for me to always check, but no 😑
Update: The vitamin C worked!
Literally came here to find the best way to lighten my fake blue-black hair so I can go navy without destroying my length. As usual, Brad is here for us.
Wtf. Yesterday I was searching on what can I do to make my semi permanent hair color come out quicker and I wake up to this video?! Brad, you are the ✨G O D✨ that watches over me. I am convinced.
i literally bleached my hair 3 times in a row a week ago bc i had no idea how to get rid of my turquoise/blue-ish hair im so unlucky its unbelievable lmaooo
Saameee
Blue is one of the harder colors to get rid of anyway.
we are living the exact same life
In my experience, bleaching blue hair can sometimes push the blue color deeper into the hair and turn it green. I was left with a turquoise color in my hair for the longest time that would not come out so I had to dye over it and then eventually cut it out. Diluting the bleach with other products like shampoo and developer (like the bleach bath in this video) can sometimes lift the pigment right out!!! Not sure how well it would work after multiple bleaches though, definitely use a bleach bath the first time if you're ever in this situation again!
@@jennawalden6386 thank you so much! i will for sure follow ur advice
Thanks for doing this Brad. I’m fatally allergic to hair bleach so have to get extensions that I’ve turned into a muddy orange and I need non bleach options!
Just wanna say, I tried a bleach bath on my undyed hair and was super pleased with the result. Disclaimer, the reason I did it is because my hair lightens insanely fast, it also fries that quickly, and my scalp hates bleach. In like ten minutes I got about five shades lighter. It’d be even if operator error wasn’t a thing, lol. Thank you for this video!
I read somewhere to put a packet of sweet n low...actual sweet n low in the pink packet, no subsitute!...into a bleach mixture to keep it from irritating your scalp.
the "hi beautiful" lowkey brightens up my mood and gives me more confidence
when Brad says"HIIII Beautiful" every single time it always makes my day 1,000 times better
Thanks Brad!!!! You’re the best!
Friend, you called out my confusion with Color Oops exactly. What it says on the outside of the box directly contradicts what the instructions say.
I'm about to try to heavily tone down a unexpectedly awful Crayola-Blue disaster. I had been happily using the Wella Color Charm light blue over a light bleach, but when Amazon ran out of that shade I foolishly thought I could mix some Indigo and silver and get the same effect.
Oh.... oh holy hell. Nope. Royal Blue.
So now I'm going to try the Color Oops. Just to make it spicier, I do have to bleach around my hairline before I add semi-permanent color, and that's exactly where the unexpected indigo is absolutely rioting. Like right around my face.
Wish me luck.
I honestly think my self esteem has improved from watching Brad Mondo, "Hi Beautiful" really makes my day. 💙💜❤💙💜❤
Why is he perfection 😭😍 anyone else feel like Brad would be the most fun best friend.
His matching nails and hair in the beginning! 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍
Thank you for the tips. I love how you inform us ,very aqurately. Love the colors you have, unfortunately I can't get it in my country but if I do, I'll deffinitely try them. Lot's of love. 😘
i’m living for the matching nail/hair color!! blue looks so good on you
The number one think that makes my day is that "Hey beautiful." I hear from Brad :)
Thanks Brad!!! Excellent video!
Hands down I’ll be trying out couple of these methods. Recently got done during Thanksgiving week. Then Ulta stylist didn’t know highlights were ended out with black hair not highlights with purple highlights in natural hair color. Sadly costed me $211 looking for cheaper alternatives. Lesson learned don’t trust some stylists 😢
Brad's hair looks like anime water and I am Living for it
I refreshed my actual ombré with a bleach bath thanks to your tips and it worked so well without even damaging my hair and I just wanted to thank you because I've never felt so good in my life!
Thanks for this, Brad! I had VERY stubborn blue. I washed several times with bs and clarifying shampoo and it didn't seem to touch it. After watching this and doing more research, I used 5 boxes of Color Oops. I'm sitting with what will hopefully be my last effort. Will rinse after this comment.
Hairstylist of 15 years. I use equal parts dishsoap, baking soda, and 20 volume developer. Although that teal color is the hardest to remove. It usually always works!
In my profile pic, this is my natural color. I went red and now I want it out. My roots are about an inch. Will what you said work for mine so I can put a dark blonde on my hair?
If it's semi permanent red, if it was permanent color. You'll need to use the oops
No bleach with this mix? Thank you!
does this damage hair?
I have very blue hair should I use this Method
