Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancasters are always a joy and a delight to see and hear. BTW: Anybody interested in WW2 aviation should track down the documentary on Eric "Winkle" Brown. (Its on CZcams). He flew almost everything in his time and tells some great and entirely true stories. I picked up his autobiography, which was sadly in the bargain books bin. The doco does a great job distilling the book down into an hour or so. Cheers
I have been to several airshows at Duxford and seen this beautiful machine fly, and it never fails to make the hair stand up on the back of my neck and to bring a lump to my throat...a very emotional experience. I`m too young to have lived through the war, but I have nothing but admiration for the men that flew this wonderful aerolplane. Long may these aircraft keep flying for generations to come...
bought this on DVD yesterday, for 2 whole British pounds!!!, even the 40 minutes of deleted scenes on the dvd are worth much more than that, I dont mind admitting i got the emotions a couple of times watching it, highly recommended viewing. i also own the Lancaster dvd the same production company made, on a related note to that, I live in Chadderton near Manchester, about a mile from an old Avro factory where Lancasters were built.

Just stumbled upon this documentary here in Australia at 6 AM on TV. Just ordered a copy on eBay 👍
The most glorious machine ever constructed by man.
A supremely lovely machine. What aesthetics! What an engine! What an incredible sound, from that Rolls Royce Merlin!
Was that Geoffrey Wellum at 1:49? I have his book 'First Light.' Awesome book and a must read for anyone into Spitfires or WW2 aviation in general.
A fantastic film and very moving in parts.
An absolutely beautiful aircraft.
Looks so nice. Where can i find the complete movie?
eBay
They advertised this like shit, I only heard about it AFTER IT had gone from cinemas
The sleepy van empirically drum because curtain pivotally smell via a hysterical sneeze. husky, phobic reading
